Re: FH 6.2.7 Randomly closing

Andy, have you checked Knowledge Base > Internet Data Matches and followed all the advice including User Credentials?

The 'hints' counts should behave the same way regardless of whether internal Web Search Window or External Web Browser.

Re: Source Record Table

See Tools > Preferences > Records Window and untick Use Short Title for Source record names if available.
Then it will always show the long Title and if you wish you can put Short Title in a column.
That is exactly the customisation that you have overlooked.

Re: Dated Notes

If necessary, using Jane's Custom Fact method, it is possible to include not only a local Note using the {note} code in the Sentence Template but also a linked Note record by using the {%FACT.NOTE>%} code.

Re: Backup and Restore User Settings

Well, somehow Family Historian is seeing it when viewed from within a Plugin.

Try running the same Plugin in a different Project (like the Family Historian Sample Project) or any other Project.

Do they also report a square bullet or not?

Yes, you deleted too much, so use << Insert data ref as before but only as far as Individual + Attributes + Cause of Death.

As a matter of interest, which other programs support those _FSFTID and _FGRAVE tags?

I suspect to create those tags initially you must have to edit the GEDCOM file.

Re: Diagram showing cause and age of death

I have to admit I took an educated guess at the %INDI._ATTR-CAUSE-OF-DEATH.AGE% Data Reference. Use the << Insert data ref assistant and expand Individual + Attributes + Cause of Death + Age and use that instead. It should be very similar, but the CAUSE-OF-DEATH part in the middle will be a little d...

Re: Diagram showing cause and age of death

I have investigated a bit more and the Age tick option is NOT quite what it seems. It is calculating the Age at the Date of the Cause of Death attribute based on the Birth Date . But since you have entered no Dates at all for your Individuals the Age at cannot be determined so nothing is displayed. ...

Re: Diagram showing cause and age of death

OK, so try Diagram > Enable Moving/Resizing to show the Movement Control Box . Now select a box with most Cause of Death text. e.g. Frederick Pelham FOTHERGILL Left-click & drag the 'handles' on the edges/corners of the box to make it larger. Does that reveal any Age: values? If so then repeat the D...

Re: Diagram showing cause and age of death

Ah! The problem is not quite what I first thought. It seems that you have either created or imported Custom Cause of Death Attribute Facts. The more conventional approach is to use the standard Death event which has a Cause field and Age field. So the first thing to understand is that the Informatio...

Re: Diagram showing cause and age of death

It would help to see the Cause of Death items and explain why you have four entries for them. The Data Ref you need is %INDI.DEAT.AGE% and that could be added to the Cause of Death item, or a <Custom Item> added just for Age at Death . At most, you should only need one Cause of Death item and one Ag...

The LDS Ancestral File Reference is NOT a Fact. As Jane explained, it is hidden on the All tab as it is not widely used. So open the Property Box , open the All tab, right-click the person's Name and choose Add Miscellaneous > LDS > Add LDS Ancestral File Number , which will add that field near the ...

Ok, when you run the Query it will prompt for a Surnames list that must be separated with commas, e.g. Sattel, Settel, Settle It currently allows up to 5 Surnames but that can easily be extended. It searches the Primary Surname and the first nine Alternate Surnames but that can be extended too. If a...
