Viewing titles in Records list
You can not 'open' people in the results window of a query, bu you can use the all tab of the properties dialog in conjuction with the query results to review and amend people and jump the records window using the Goto record button.

I had no problems. However the FTM gedcom is no where near correct, you will find for example it exports all occupations as places. I have not seen the problem with marriage notes, but I can look at the file if you want me too. I suspect that FTM exports it incorrectly. Did you export the file for F...

Viewing titles in Records list
At the moment you can not configure the records list window. However you can easily create a Query with a column for the title and as long as the first column is left as the Individual record the Query screen can be used as the jumping off point. I know configurable columns have been discussed and a...

Steve wrote : I am a new user, and am having trouble entering addresses on to a report. Addresses are attached to events so to show an address you need to specify the event and request the address so for example. The address for a birth is %INDI.BIRT[1].ADDR% However for standard events the addresse...

Narrative reports are not implemented yet.
The nearest reports is Decendant Outline on the reports menu under more reports.
On the diagram to get more detail, right click on the background and select Diagram options then select the number of generations you require.

Keeping record number the same.
For the second part of your Query try =recordid() as the expresion for the column. Obviously recordids need to be unique hence the problem when merging files. I suggest using FH to copy the record id to the automated ID in the files prior to the merge, you can then continue to access the orginal num...

A couple of suggestions. You can use copy and paste for locations or anything else. CTRL-C and CTRL-V do work. In the help I suggest using the Find option and let windows build the word list. If you can not find something then this site or the mailing list are there to help. Questions are always wel...

It depends a little on which diagram you are using. On the All relations diagram the key field is the number of rows per generation. This controls the detail level as well as the heigh, but is a good control. Using the right click on page bounds will allow you control the overall size of the diagram...

Newbie question on name changes
I received a question about showing 'second' names on reports: Here is my reply > but do not understand how the new name can be made available in say, an individual summary report. You can add additional lines to the summary report, so for instance to add the 'other name' to the report. Click add on...

I think probably the easiest way, is to display your ancestor chart, then click on the person you want to start from and click on the descendants chart on the icon bar, this will display a decendants chart from that person.

My guess is TMG stores all notes as note records, making this easily done on FH, if records are exported this way.

Creating a list of individual notes
You can of course do this already with a query and then use it in combination with the properties box. If you have not already looked at queries you will find them very powerful. I have written a quick query and put it in the Query store to show all 'local' note records attached to a person. This wi...

Creating a list of individual notes
In the reports menu option in more reports you will find induvidual notes report, which should do what you want.
In FH you can attach the same note to multiple people these note appear in the notes tab.
Hope this makes sense.

It looks like it could be a bug, I have passed it over to Calico for an answer, when I tried it the report had 6 blank pages where text should have been.
As a work around I would use the record detail report for now.

The problem with sources is everyone has their own methods. Personally I have one source for each Baptisum for which I have a hard copy, using the ones without copies as a reminder than I need to get them.

No it is not a valid GEDCOM tag.
You could change it to 1 NAME which will mean anyone with an alias gets two name records.
Personally I retyped my 'Alias' fields into the correct fields within FH as I did not have too many.
