I think there is an intention to update the manual fully at some point, but Calico wanted to get the upgrade out rather than waiting for the full manual.

Just follow the insert Document on the mulitmedia window,

drop down the file type selector and select All files and select the PDF you require. In the multimedia window the PDF logo will appear and you will able to click on it to open the pdf.

I suspect these would be better linked as multimedia objects. I do not think web links are supported specificly, the problem being that they go out of date so quickly. Personally I think you might be better saving the pages locally and linking them using multimedia. I can add support for html/web/ma...

On the first one I suspect I had not been asked for, do you want it added to the list. Addresses tend to repeat less than Places so this may be the reason.

The Qtr I wondered if it was to make it easier for the program to treat Qtr Dates more easily.

You should not lose the data you have input if you uninstall, just make sure you have a backup on a floppy disk or even in your my documents folder. Installing and re-installing should sort the problem. You might lose a few diagram settings, but that should be all. Just double check your user is at ...

Could I suggest using Winzip to unzip the exe and then run the setup.exe directly.

Also double check your user is of Administration level.

It may also be worth redownloading the install, from the other site, just in case it is a corrupt download.

I find the wheel works in most places. As long as I ensure the 'focus' is on the list. eg click somewhere in the record window rather than in the position to box.

It would be great to have some feedback on the new version. Please post any comments to this tread.

Another possibility for the original request is to use a List for all 'Private' people. Then create a query selecting all the people in the list and use the split tree option to make a new version of the file ready for upload.
