Re: Check for Possible Duplicate Media error
Remember LUA is running in a limited environment under FH it does not have access to all the memory on your PC.
If you want to avoid the problem just add the code Mike suggested.

Re: Check for Possible Duplicate Media error
The plugin loads the files into memory to calculate the MD5 to check for duplicates which is why it is failing on those large MP4 files, I will consider simply skipping the MD5 check on files which are larger than normal images.

It only contains cache and cookies, so it is no different from clearing your browser cache. Opening the web window will recreate it.

Re: Internal FindMyPast Links Broken
One thing to try is to close FH and then go to
and delete the folder
The error is at the FMP past end, but it's possible something has been cached which is confusing the process.

Many web sites try to protect images from being copied.
This is often the reason that many web clipping tools including FH can fall foul of.

Re: Screen refresh not happeneing
Unfortunately it is a Windows Driver issue, or it would not be fixed by simply swapping the screens around. There are many layers of abstraction between the program and what appears on the screen. Many of these layers are Microsoft provided and then finally there is a layer provided by the Graphic c...

Re: FH not recognising changed image aspect ratio
I know FH does a lot of caching under the covers to get the speed of the program up.
I doubt people editing images outside of the program while the program was running was at the top of things to check.
If reloading the program sorts it then it will be a cache issue.

Re: Check Installed Plugins Against The Store - Error when run
I believe there is a problem with connecting to secure servers using Windows 8, it started happening a couple of weeks ago, so it's not something which can be fixed in the Lua script. It seems to affect using https sites from Windows 8 using the com objects, I suspect it is something only Microsoft ...

If you are using the web window try restarting FH or the PC, which mostly seems to clear the old cookie, FMP is moaning about. If you are using an External Web Browser, try deleting all Find My Past Cookies.

Re: Licence (Re)-Activation
If something in the system changes this can trigger FH into thinking a new PC is in use. In general, you can safely deactivate the older activation for the same hardware without getting into problems.

Re: Ancestor narrative report for family
If you select both the records for a single report and then change the Source tab to End of the Report, it will combine up the source listing.
You do get a little overlap on the two spouses, but the index and source lists are combined.

I suspect it would help calico pie, if you can send them a small project which exhibits this problem, sending both a standard FH backup of the project and a compressed folder (zip) made with windows, so hopefully they can track down the issue.

The Knowledge Curation post raised the issues of cost for FHUG This what FHUG roughly costs and the donations and Amazon income from 2018 to today. The costs do not include any charges for time spent maintaining, backing up and upgrading the site by anyone. Current FHUG costs per annum: Domain regis...

Re: Editing Raw Rich Text
Ah, yes! That shortcut is not mentioned in the FH Help page for Keyboard Shortcuts ! No it won't be, a novice user could end up in all sorts of confusion by trying to edit it directly. It's a easter egg designed for plugin developers to be able to see how to structure rich text when composing it.

If you actually meant you wanted to see the Raw text with the control fields in plain text you can do so.
Press-and-hold both the Ctrl and Alt key and then double-click on a Rich Text field in the Property Box.

You can check relationcode SPOUSE_START and SPOUSE_END to see if they are related by marriage or if you are looking for non blood relations why not use DnaRelatedness or DnaBloodRelation depending on what you are wanting.
They will be indirect if the DnaBloodRelation false
