Re: Is it time to split the General Forum?
This question sparked a lot of responses, but unless I missed it, no-one mentioned my Zoom group. By presenting talks and hands on sessions on specific topics of Family Historian by watching live or viewing the recordings the Group is proving to be an invaluable resource, especially for beginners. F...

My original question was:
Why can't there be one category, with the opportunity to add as many or as few fields as you wish?

Re: Facts
It has been amusing to watch you youngsters. First, turning an example fact into a definite Hobby that an ancestor of mine actually did. Then converting my original question into a debate about various gedcom structures. All you have achieved is demonstrate a weakness in Family Historian. If the ged...

Facts
As a newcomer to FH I do not understand why facts are categorised as Event or Attribute. For example I have added Hobby, which in fact is an event every time you participate in that Hobby, for example go on Bird watching trip, But if I use Event when creating my custom fact, it does not allow me to ...

I'm wondering whether it would be worth having a zoom meeting say monthly or even weekly where questions could be asked and knowledge shared? If so, which days are best and which times? For...

Re: Internet - Find my Past
What I really wanted was findmypast.co.uk and to open at the Britain page. When Mike Tate told me where the file was, I was able to add the following - which works - if anyone else wants to add it. [Item53] Type=B Name=Find My Past (UK) Desc=Family history records for the UK, Ireland and around the ...

Re: Internet - Find my Past
I'm new to Family Historian, but I thought that my request was quite straightforward. There are 2 links for Ancestry, so why not2 for FMP? As things are the FMP link takes you to a site which shows (image).
You then have to click to change it to U.K.
