Re: Outline reports - Descendant outline
I am very disppointed to hear this as the descendant outline reports are the best report for my purposes and without the connecting lines are very difficult to follow for large numbers of people. I am entitled to a free upgrade to FH7 but won't be upgrading because of this. Please keep us posted if ...

Re: Descendant outline report
One other question regarding Flags. Is it possible to rename a flag. My family flags are single letter because that was the only option in TMG i.e. of the form FAMILY_S. I would like to change them globally to FAMILY_SMITH etc. Find and replace didn't work.

Mike
I have done a test GEDCOM export as you suggested which seems to work fine. However I have added a number of new individuals to my project since importing from TMG but can't find how to add the relevant flags to them. I do have Simon Orde's book by the way.

Re: Descendant outline report
Mike The attached image is an example of what I am looking for. This was generated in TMG over 10 years ago and I can't remember the exact process. The output was to Word where the direct ancestors were highlighted in colour. In my TMG project every person had a "Family" Flag eg in this example C fo...

Re: Descendant outline report
Thanks. I've tried the PDF edit which isn't really satisfactory. I don't think your other suggestion will work for me so I will have to do without the connecting lines. I migrated from TMG and they had a similar output with connecting lines that could be exported directly to Word. Shame it's not pos...

Descendant outline report
I wish to generate a descendant outline report with connecting lines, ticked by default in options, but I also want to delete or modify some entries. Can this be done in FH? I can delete and modify in Word with the word processor RTF export but the connecting lines are not there. Any suggestions ple...

Children out of sequence in focus window
Some of my individuals have children out of birth/baptism sequence in the focus window which also translates to the diagram. How do I correct this. I have tried reorder out of sequence data which tells me that a hundred or so have been reordered but the focus window still has them out of sequence. M...

Re: 1901 Census missing from entry screen
AS v5.3.0. 1901 was also missing in the Census Templates. In Reset, 1901 was listed in the drop down list. Did a Reset and 1901 now listed in the entry screen dates.
Thanks!
Thanks!

1901 Census missing from entry screen
I am only just starting to use Ancestral Sources for census entry and on the main entry screen for Census the options for UK census year has all dates to choose from 1841 to 1911 and also1939, except that 1901 is missing from the list. Why is this?

Re: Global Transfer
Mike, one further question regarding the "where used record links" plugin. Is it possible to save the results to a file outside FH for further inspection, maybe to Excel??

Re: Global Transfer
Thanks Mike. I have run those plugins on a copy of my FH project and now transferred the "text from source" entries to "where within source". All looks good but I will do some more checking before updating my main project.

Mike
Thanks for your quick reply. Might it be a good idea to first run the "List all citations for a source" plugin and check for all my sources what is in the "where within source" column and the "text from source" column.

I am returning to family history after 10 years and have about 1600 people in my TMG v7 project on my old XP laptop. I have updated the project to the trial TMG v9 and have successfully imported my TMG project to Family Historian 6.2 on my Win 10 PC. I have run Plugins “Give witnesses their own fact...
