Double entries
On a couple of occasions I have found that two sides of my family (distant) have married and this has left me with double entries for the individuals after merging. The Husband and Wife will each be shown on the same page one above the other and the full ancestors above them in each case. They have ...

Re: FH 6.2.7 Randomly closing
I have had the Family Historian programme shut down for no reason several times over the weeks since I purchased it, the last time being five minute ago. I bought FH after upgrading my laptop to one with Windows 10 because the Family Tree Maker I had needed updating.

Placing entries chronologically
People ,especially children, don't always get found in the order they were born. How do you quick fix this on F H please, on my last software you pressed one button and it was done.
I expect it is hidden away on one of the instructions discs and I can,t find it so hoping someone can help.

Re: Hints from FMP
I still don,t understand why if I am connected to Find My Past via Family Historian, I subscribe to FMP, why I have to type in all the information on the hint and not just accept it or reject it.
If I use FMP on its own and I accept a hint it automatically updates my tree on that site.

Hints from FMP
I am new to F H but am a long term subscriber to FMP. I have disabled F H hints and have looked at and accepted several FMP hints on my F H tree.
My problem is I expected the Details box on the right to be updated for the individual when I accept the hint, it isn't, what am I missing please.

Re: New user
Thank you Mike
Re: New user
Thank you Mike, will stick with the Family Historian tree as a single project, I was worried about only having one copy but what you say makes sense.
Yes I did read Janes article, found it useful, also looked at her site.

Re: New user
Thank you both for your answers, I use FMP because I prefer it as a research site and because it doesn't make your research public. My main tree is kept there and I used to keep a copy offline. I will read the instructions again re downloading the tree. Sorry to be obtuse, I am retired and not massi...

Hi, just upgraded my laptop and at the same time switched from Family Tree Maker to Family Historian v6. My tree is held on FMP which I subscribe to, I have over 11,000 inviduals on my tree. I have downloaded it via a gedcom file and in the process seem to have lost some media. Also I would like to ...
