Re: FH vs others
Hello, Thank for all your replies. I understand now that FH + the FH Multi users licenses pack is NOT for simultaneous access inside the same data base. Some of you indicate they have dropped Ancestral Quest. Could you explain why FH is better? As wrote above, FH + TNG seem to be a solution. Unfortu...

FH vs others
Hello, We are searching a good genealogical Windows software in the following context: 4 grand-parents living in 3 different cities want to build all together the tree of the grandchildren in this family. That mean autosaves of the tree and simultaneous access to modify the tree... With roots from a...

Re: 3D trees
Thank for your great analyses. You are probably right. A 3D tree hangs on the ceil could be a mechanical design problem. How to see easily the faces of cubes from the floor? Without a drone with embedded camera flying across this 3D structure it will be too hard to appreciate the details of each per...

Re: 3D trees
Hello, A lot of good ideas in this discussion, thank. In fact, I'd like to inherit the whole work done inside FH to minimize the design time to build the different pieces of the 3D tree. It will be preferable to spend several weekends with my grandchildren to assembly the different 3D pieces in orde...

3D trees
Hello, A flat print of an interesting tree (thus with the brothers, the uncles, the spouses… of each branch on 5 generations or more) is rapidly hard to understand on a sheet. A 3D tree on the screen eases significantly some analyses and understanding of links between the families. Several genealogi...

Re: Autocompletion for cities names and countries names
Thank Lorna.
After reading your post, I have built a query with the names, the cities and the countries of all the people in my tree and save the result of the query directly in a csv format.
I will now open another topic about trees.
Thank you

Autocompletion for cities names and countries names
Hello, 1) Do you know how to enable autocompletion of the City name and Country name in the field " in " available on the right of Born date and on the right of Died date (main tab)? For instance, I am trying the FH 6.2.7 and it seem necessary to enter these whole names Callian and France. 2) Is it ...
