I think I'm sorted - put the project on the usb and it opened on new laptop. Had some trouble opening it in FH - could only access the backup - but I've merged the two projects (I think!) and it seems to be working. I'll keep working on it - thanks for the help.

I tried attaching the gedcom to an e-mail and sending it to myself to open on the laptop that has the paid for FH v6.2 but it will not open there either.
