Check first that the Family records are identical. May be better to merge them.

Re: Export Gedcom File to The Genealogist
Using the Export Gedcom File as Mike suggested I uploaded a new tree to The Genealogist with the following results, a big increase in individual facts/events, sources, citations and notes as would be expected. I haven't downloaded and reimported to FH7 yet.

Re: Export Gedcom File to The Genealogist
I think you need to analyse the TreeView data more closely to make objective judgements. Perhaps export a GEDCOM file and review that in detail or import it to FH and check the File Statistics. My guess is you uploaded the FH V7 GEDCOM in 5.5.1 format and TreeView expects 5.5 format. I suspect the ...

Re: Export Gedcom File to The Genealogist
As a matter of interest, how do you get from The Genealogist website to that TreeView website? I've searched The Genealogist and can find no reference to that site or any free options. Am I looking at something different? Yes, you are on the Genealogist website. The Treeview website is a separate o...

Re: Export Gedcom File to The Genealogist
2664+1+29+17 = 2711 sources!
Places seem to be part of facts.
No media records uploaded.
I haven't found a link from The Genealogist to the TreeView site there seems to be a disconnect in this respect.

Hi Mike,

I believe that link will answer your questions. it gives a comparison of the paid offline Treeview and the free online options. The Premium editions has a list of 'extras' which are not show in this screenshot:

Re: Map Life Facts plugin with Bing Maps support
Gary, yes it was in the latest version 5.2.5 but only arose because David had "not run any earlier versions of the plugin". It was an initialisation error that only appears for 'virgin' users. That is absolutely correct. I have now obtained a Bing Key (using your instructions to get one the right l...

Mike; Was the noted error reported against your last improvement for v5.2.5? I didn't get the same error and would like to know whether it is present in the last posted version. Some check boxes in the attached screen shot are coloured orange. Does anyone know why this is, I an find nothing in the help. Thank you Screenshot 2023-04-24 214514.jpg David, May I make a suggestion. If you put house number AFTER street name, you’ll find they sort much better, so both Pine Street...

Re: Map Window - List Pane : meaning of the coloured check boxes
Thank you Lorna, I had missed that!
In daylight I see they are pink. I have now unmarked as tentative using map menu -> geocoding. I had already disabled auto-geocoding and blocked refresh for non-tentative geocodes.

I used those steps recently and it worked fine to allow AS to run. You have to do the same for some plugins, as well as other programs (eg FTM)

Re: Media
If you Right Click on the Column Headings bar you obtain the option to configure the Columns as you wish. I think the File Name and Folder columns need to be configured after the update to the version.
