Re: adding to a LIST
ok, theres my problem. Use a Query I better work back and learn that bit first. I know how to add names to a List and add a column in the list. I have never used the Query function, so I have some reading to do. I was thinking you just added a column to the list using the expression and wham. So I h...

I have need of the List function and have 186 in the list, But I also needed the spouse for each my persons. I added the column to the list and the spouse appears fine.
However when I print my list. the spouse column is not there?

Way above my pay grade :D BTW did I remind you that New Zealand is the first to see Santa, so we have an opportunity to pass on notes re nice or Naughty . Anyway any help would be great, there is n...

If you know of a better way to do this, I would be only to pleased to try it.
Maybe I am missing some plugin or function that would do the same job just as easy.

Re: Check Installed Plugins Against the Store
Now that's not nice. You know very well that New Zealand is at least a day ahead of most countries :D So your kind of sending messages into the future. I will be honest, English is not my first language and my Kiwi - English translator let me down. I did read that wonderful ladies post. I just bypas...

Re: Multifact
I really only use it when adding notes/Lists of NON directly related children and which couple they belong to. Instead adding ALL the children to my database, I use the CHILD COUNT fact and cut and paste the children's names and dates from the web into the CHILD COUNT Notes. SO I have a record to go...

Re: Check Installed Plugins Against the Store
I've just updated to FH7 and have downloaded the updated version of this plugin from the store. But when I run the plugin I get the below error message. I seem to remember a bit ago there were similar problems but cannot remember what the solution was. This also happens with other Plugins that acce...

Re: FH V7 pools
Well I know I have added nothing since the upgrade to V7. Just did the install and thats all. Your right it is a count of the files, thanks for that. This also reminded me that as I keep my Media files OUTSIDE my project folder, they are not added to the backup and there for not added to the file co...

FH V7 pools
I am a bit vague here, but am I right in assuming the counter that ticks over during the closing backup is a Pool counter.?? Now if this is right then my pool count has gone silly, Its showing as 44, where it was only 37 before the upgrade. If I go to the records Window, Individual records and click...

Re: reordering the Pool
Thank you for that, Is it possible to swap the pools around??
Such as if I really would like my Pool 35 in as Pool 2, is that possible
So swap pools rather then renumber or delete them.

Re: reordering the Pool
yes I see it now. I have about 33 pools, Not sure if this seems extra high or about what one would expect. Its like a massive competition, To see how many pool you can reduce your tree to, I guess the ultimate is 1, but to have everyone in the same pool would be near impossible. Just as an aside, in...

Re: reordering the Pool
ok, I was hoping to get them in series/sequence numbered, at the moment they seem quite random.
I have pool 1, and then some with 23 or higher numbers.

Re: LDS AFN
Jane I could not find a fact entry for LDS Ancestral File Reference, at all.
What about if I used the National identity number standard attribute.?
Is the NIN number a national thing or applies to one or two countries only.

Re: LDS AFN
Yes that's the reference I am referring to. I like to record it so I can go back and check details later.I suspect the ID meant is the unique identifier in the LDS mega tree, like KWJZ-HGK (which is for a distant relative of mine)

LDS AFN
I have looked in the KB and can not seem to find a clear answer. If I want to add LDS (latter day Saints) references to people in my Family Tree, how would I do that?? Is using the custom ID the right way to go about it or is there a plugin I have missed ??

I am a little confused and am trying find any record of a divorce for George William Geaves.
This would be in England and between 1894 when he married and 1941 when he died,
his wife Edith Mary Smith died in NZ 1942, there appears to be a second husband. Any clues please.
