Re: Backup and Restore FH Settings via Windows - new plugin
I dont know what you got so far, but as long as everything is strings.... $pth = 'whatever you have for a path now' $dat = whatever date you get (depending on what that output is, looks like its a string but if not...) then it would be almost exactly like lua except different (lol, I had to say it) ...

Re: works at command prompt not as plugin
oh, this is plainly just pure evil. require 'luacom' local FSO = luacom.CreateObject('Scripting.FileSystemObject') powershell command prompt they all handle the paths with spaces differently, where and how they are quoted. it may be that luac.exe is sort of a one off, I am unsure at this point. do a...

Re: works at command prompt not as plugin
Mike, that iteration was tried, it didn't change anything. however I now have placed the luac.exe inside epth table and removed it from the format. situation is still the same, get 1 in return code and not created, in lua pgm, but if debugged and the exact statement is pasted in command prompt, it h...

Re: works at command prompt not as plugin
wondering about this, is there a way to elevate the command in lua? That could be the issue, as I am casting about wildly.

the issue is there is a space before /MIR likely a typo.

Mapping questions.
For all you ancient and arcane geometers out there (LOL, mostly Mike I think) 1) I cannot for the life of me figure out how you set map boundaries to display, and would like to be able to do that. 2) given a point in lat, long... is there a shortcut (maybe some sort of reversal of haversine, so that...

Re: plugin programmer query
Mortimer Cat you will need to comment line 117 and enable line 118, note that the folder must exist prior to running the profiler. I have path systems file and folder management systems and save and restore systems, but they are a large body and I use them as requires, so I am reticent to do any sav...

Mortimer Cat (I will have a look see, maybe I can incorporate that by parameter and arguement) I am trying to make the profiler use 'sloppy' arguments and am soliciting any changes for comprehension and readability to the @usage of the program, currently as follows: @Usage : (1): local _prf = requir...

Re: Addresses and commas after house numbers.
my major concern in addresses is whether or not I can find them on google that way, and whether or not miketate's Map Life Facts can find them on google. my addresses are as follows: building, street, city, state, zip, nation, with placeholders. Fort Stotsenburg, Lily Hill Street, Angels City Pampan...

plugin programmer query
I expect more than one answer but would like all opinions.
If a plugin tool (my profiler) puts out a report, and you give it no default path, where should the output go?
desktop? project folder? plugin data? or elsewhere?

V6 and lots of plugins.
is there anyone here who is still on V6 and has somehow downloaded almost every plugin in the store, or is there a way to get the path to the plugin store V6 and download all? I have been testing my profiler, and I have some large holes in my testing (I must make a decision based on file size of the...

Re: Behind The Name forenames Version: 1.0
it also produces them on 6.7.2. also, jane, the v.1.1 for V6 doesnt actually used fhutils, so it runs with script errors, if you remove the require, don't know you would have to abandon it for 6.

Re: Behind The Name forenames Version: 1.0
I got it manually fromV6 plugins at the plugin store.
V1.1 doesnt work quite right either.
require("fhUtils")
it is not useable in V6, as is, needs loadrequire.
still many script errors.

Re: Behind The Name forenames Version: 1.0
Jane,
check plugins gives me this: (cheek plugins is up to date)
"E. Not In Store" "1.0" " " "Behind The Name forenames" "Jane Taubman" " "
I do not believe I have changed a plugin name from the store but:
it is now Behind The Name (forenames) in the store. I got it now. Thanks

I am running other tests, so, I am running a lot more plugins I haven't used in quite a while. my sig is correct, W10 fh 6.7.2 (I will make it to 7 about 7.5 hopefully by then th...

Re: require in plugins
it has a great deal to to with the placement of require statements in code I do not write, since this bit of code is seminal to the actual problem of profiling code, and when I should enumerate _G, and what to do if the function is not found in _G, and determining if this is lua internal or fh inter...
