Streamlining Sources in a Book?
I'm experimenting with using the Books feature to create a working project notebook -- a place to collect the information about a particular individual I'm analyzing. I'm including a couple of standard reports -- Individual Summary, Family Group, etc. Problem I'm having is that it insists on appendi...

Re: Applying a template AFTER a source is created?
Even changing from an existing Template to another Template will, I think, only be successful if the old Template metafields are a subset of the new Template metafields. Yes, you can always change the associated Template, but some old metafields may become 'orphaned' by the new Template. Yes, there...

Re: Applying a template AFTER a source is created?
I don't believe it -- there IS a way to change it! Sharing in case anyone else needs to know. From Sources window, right-click on the source in question and select Properties. Go to the All tab, highlight the Template field, and press Delete. Confirm the deletion of the field, and close the source p...

Applying a template AFTER a source is created?
I suspect this is a futile hope, but is there any way to apply a template AFTER a source has been created?
For a large group of sources, I just found the *right* template I should have been using all along.

Re: FH7 - Text from Source - how to MODIFY table after initial save
Nick, the editing commands seem to be only available when I create the source initially. When I try to go back into the source to modify it, I can't find the commands.
Am I right in thinking AS won't edit a source record I created in FH7?

FH7 - Text from Source - how to MODIFY table after initial save
I've entered a source record, including the "text from source" info. It's a census, so there is a table of data entered. Now I discover that the table is too wide to print nicely, so I'd like to modify the table. I can slide the column widths easily enough, but I don't have the table editor controls...

Re: Research Planner -- what templates do you use?
So far, I've also added templates to search for military service documentation, and for residency (city directories, newspapers, and such). I think the one that will be the most fun, though, is one I've called "Time and Place". I'm doing a lot of work to provide context to my ancestors' lives. So fa...

Research Planner -- what templates do you use?
I've just started trying the RP, and it's a lot of fun
Pretty sure I'm thinking too narrowly about it's uses, though. What templates do you find useful?

Source Citations for Sex?
For the life of me, I can't figure out where to include these. Any suggestions where to look? It might seem minor, but I have one individual whose name is ambiguous, and who is reported as both male and female on various census records. Now, I'm pretty confident I have it correct, based on the spous...
