I am sure this has been answered before but I can't see the wood for the trees. I am working with another individual on our Family Trees that cross over and need to export my tree to them. They are working with Mac FamilyTree, can anyone advise on the best way to export my tree in its entirety to th...

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, I don't think that I could see the wood for the tree's last night.

Source / Citation
After upgrading to V7 I have been tidying things up and have got to ensuring my FACTS are cited. In V6 6 I seem to recall that at the foot of the citation pane (circled in red in the attached image) there was another pane that showed further details about the date of entry, providence of the source ...

Re: Research Notes
As per the previous posts I have created a Research Note for each individual (where applicable). After creating the research note I have then gone on to create a link to that research note in the individuals property box. Is it best to use the "Shared Research Note" (3rd image) link so I c...

Re: Research Notes
Further to my previous reply I have had a "play" with what I think suits me best and feel that a combination of using the Research Tab for the Research I have done and the Research that I have identified that I need to do. Then also using "Named Lists" to track which certificates...

Thanks both. I’ll report it to Calico and rethink the way I work my research notes. Thought I’d found a way that suited me so will look at queries though I do struggle getting my head around them.

Research Notes
Further to my previous post of 27/12/2020 and others regarding The Research Notes facility I have managed to set up my notes how I wish to use them. In doing so I have set up a template within the AUTOTEXT facility which contains "Rows" for each of the individuals in my tree (only 552) so ...

Research Notes
Having upgraded to V7 some of the new features look very useful in particular the Research Note facility. I have previously used "named lists" to organise my notes of research, the new Note Tab looks much better suited to what I am trying to achieve. Before I jump in and change things I ha...

Re: In praise of named lists!
What I would like to achieve is a TO DO list though conversely in creating a TO DO list am I able to create a separate list of Research done. In my mind I have the idea that I would like to create separate Named Lists of Birth, Marriage, Death, Census 1841, Census 1851 etc so each list shows all the...

Re: In praise of named lists!
Thanks for this thread. I have been searching for a way to record my To Do lists and track my research for a while. After attempting to use a stand alone spreadsheet and the recommended to do list, all of which seemed not to work for me, I think Named List may be the answer. Having read though Chapt...

Re: How to use a To Do list
Since submitting this post I have uploaded to do and research logs and have tried to get to grip with them unfortunately I just dont seem to be able to use them, not the fault of the programme just me and my method of working. A simple question, how do I delete them and remove the tabs from the prop...

Re: Images of Residences
Tatewise, thanks for the reply and the advice. I’ve tried a couple of reports and it seems to work.
I’ll have a look at Tools > Work with Data > Places and see if I can use the plug in as that may save a stack of time. I think my terminology is wrong.

Is there a standard query to be able to print off either a list of repositories, or a single repository record that includes which sources are linked to that repository.
