Mike,
Thanks for that. Downloaded, installed, run and output is now in a spreadsheet. This will allow me to concentrate my editing of those that will have the most impact
I will export so I don't lose this copy.
Again thanks

Re: Counting Facts per person
I don't know how I should do this but I had the "count facts by person" plugin in 2022 and since then it has disappeared. I have looked at the plugin store and on my own hard drive. Is this plugin still available anywhere?

Re: <para> in sentence structure
Mike, That is a great suggestion. I needed to modify slightly <<br>{note}><para> to get the spacing I wanted. This does not allow for this spacing if I don't want the note printed out. Just for my edification is there a way to do a conditional statement like I had originally tried?

<para> in sentence structure
I'm pretty sure this has been discussed previously but I cannot seem to find the answer. I want to in a sentence structure test to see if there is a note and then either put out a <br> or a <para> but the <br> or <para> does not seem to be resolved and is just text. This is what I have tried and doe...

Mike,
That works great. It even made what I thought would work even simpler.

Shared fact
I want to put a header in a sentence if I have any shared people on a fact. {=TextIf(Exists(%FACT._SHAR%) and Not(%FACT._SHAR.ROLE% = "Wife") or Exists(%FACT._SHAR[2]%)," Other heirs in line of succession were:","")} This seems to work if my shared people are in the dat...

Re: Help
I tried the print but I cannot select a level high enough to get it all. I can get individual topics and sub topics.
I could print them all out one by one and then combine all into a single PDF

Help
When I first converted from Rootsmagic 7 to Familyhistorian 7 I found that the GEDCOM import left some issues unresolved. I found that the custom Facts and sentence in RM7 did not get imported into FH7 correctly. Not an FH problem but the sentence structure in RM was not the same as FH. The direct i...

I am attempting to modify the birth statement but have run into difficulties that I cannot figure out. I have changed my birth sentence to be: {individual} was born {date}< at {address}> {place} < to mother {role(single)=Mother}><to mothers{role(plural)=mother}>< to father {role(single)=Father}>< an...

Now it is clear to me. I should have seen that myself. Now I can continue with my queries.

Re: fhGetDisplayText - Anomaly or my error
ColevalleyGirl. This is the code that I have. I hope I didn't make any typos pi = fhNewItemPtr() -- declare pointer pi:MoveToFirstRecord('INDI') while not pi:IsNull() do strPointerDescription = fhGetDisplayText(pi) while not pi:IsNull() do strPointerDescription = fhGetDisplayText(pi) strType = fhGet...

Re: Counting Facts per person
Mike, Sometimes i can feel pretty dumb. That works well. But I may still want to add the rec numb so I can keep track of my edits in a spreadsheet. That is what I have done with the output from the plugin. I guess the logical next move would be for me to research lua and see if I can add the rec numb.

Re: Counting Facts per person
Bill,
That is the plugin I found as well. I am using FH 7.0.15 and it works as designed. I was hoping that the record number had been added to further clarify the people.

Counting Facts per person
I wanted to get a list by person of how many facts that they have so I can concentrate my edit work on people who probably need it. I found on this forum that Mike Tate in 2015 had a link to a plugin that was called "Count Facts Per Individual". I downloaded it and it provided almost every...

Exclude a line
I have had conversations with my brother and he would prefer not to have any information about him or his family available to anyone. I want to honor this but I don't see how in FH7. On a chart I can hide lines with a click or hide from the menu. But that must be done every time and it does not affe...
