Adding all spouses in a gedcom for export
Hello. I am trying to create a gedcom file of the descendants of a particular ancestor. What I cannot figure out is how to include all the spouses of his descendants. I am able to include his spouse with the "add relatives" button, but I don't want to have to add each spouse in a large family with s...

Re: New Project from TMG
Thank you so much, Mike. I have followed the steps recommended, and now TMG allows me to edit. I did have to unlock the full version again, even though I had already done so. We shall see if I have to do it again each time. I have a feeling that my Bitdefender antivirus software is interfering with ...

Re: New Project from TMG
Don,
I was a little hasty. I can get into TMG as administrator, but I cannot add data; I can only navigate through the database and read. I don't know how to fix that problem.
I like Windows 10 very much apart from this inconvenience.
Thanks again,
Dick

Re: New Project from TMG
Thank you, Don. Interestingly enough, after speaking with all of you and someone at TMG who also recommended running the program as administrator, I right clicked on my shortcut TMG icon and found the "run as administrator" option. When I clicked on it, TMG came up and ran without any glitches, so I...

Re: New Project from TMG
Hi Mike, Thank you for your reply. I am sure the confusion is because I am still ignorant of the ways of discussing Family Historian. After reading your response, I created a folder on my Desktop for Family Historian Projects. I then imported my main project from TMG directly to FH, indicating that ...

Re: New Project from TMG
Hi Lorna, Thank you for replying. Yes, that's exactly how I imported the Gedcom. However, I also used a gedcom downloaded from Ancestry.com, so I have tried different sources for my transfer. Another program was able to import TMG directly, so I created a gedcom from that program as well. I will tak...

New Project from TMG
Hello. I am migrating from TMG and have the trial version as I decide which replacement program I would like to purchase. I successfully imported a gedcom of my TMG data to Family Historian, but it shows only as a Gedcom file and not as a project. I tried to create a new empty project with myself as...
