Re: Help with V6.2 failure
Dear Jane,
As far as I remember, I had upgraded to Win 10 before I purchased FH and had no problems until updating FH to V6.2.4. Where do you suggest we go from here? (incidentally, I am a HE, not a SHE)
Regards,
billygee

Re: Help with V6.2 failure
Further to my post of 27th March saying that I had successfully resolved the issue by re-installing FH upgrade V6.2.4 as Administrator. The new entry was saved successfully without problem. However, I have just attempted to make another entry and found that the same error has occurred again. I am to...

Re: Help with V6.2 failure
I was informed from within the program that an upgrade was available so I upgraded to 6.2. I haven't had any problems of this nature before, although it is quite a while since I made any new entries. I have just re-installed 6.2 again, but with the same results.

Re: Free Page Content
EUREKA. At last, after a very long slog we've got there. Thanks to your expertise, time, and patience I have finally got the Font type and size that I wanted. I found that centralizing the text didn't look right so I changed it to Justified which is much better. The icing on the cake would have been...

Re: Free Page Content
Hi Mike, I have created a picture of the crest with a plain border to the left and right, full page width, but I'm still having a problem with the end product which now shows the text under the picture full page width, and centralized as required, but above the picture and to the left is the text Th...

Re: Free Page Content
Mike, I am having problems with your latest instructions, In the Report Options/Pictures Tab, I have increased the picture size to fill the screen as you suggested, which also increases the text. What I am trying to achieve is to have a picture of normal size and the text the full page width. No mat...

Re: Free Page Content
Hi Mike, I have followed your instructions successfully. However, viewing the now edited book, the text below the Crest is showing to the right of the page. On the left of the page is the word Note, then quite a large space before the text begins to the right of the page. Is it possible to delete th...

Re: Free Page Content
Hi Mike, I am using Word 2002, but that is no longer an issue as I have now converted the file to .pdf. Regarding the other option you suggested. In a word, I haven't tried it, as you were not sure that it would work, so I took what I thought was the easier method. Easiest because I am still absorbi...

Re: Free Page Content
Hi Mike, I have created the required page in M/S Word, but to save it in .pdf format I would have to pay a monthly subscription (not acceptable for a one off) I then tried to copy from Word and paste into a F,H Free Page The text pasted OK but not in the font style and size of the copy, and there do...

Re: Help with Report Photo Captions
Hi Mike Thanks for your reply, but we have discussed the reason for printing a hard copy of the book before. Perhaps I have got it all wrong, but can you please tell me what is the advantage of saving the book as a PDF file, can I still print out a hard copy from a PDF file? Regarding the individual...

Re: Import Microsoft Word
I'm sorry you misunderstood my meaning when I said that I would like to see the end product on TV. Of course I meant via a DVD Player and not directly through a TV. As a relatively new user of F.H I find the terminology very difficult for a layman to follow. I thought that making a DVD was virtually...

Re: Import Microsoft Word
Thanks for your reply. When I said default Title page I meant the title page as it is when moving it from left to right, I had hoped that it might be possible to import from Microsoft Word into this title page. So now the simple answer is to omit the title page, print the book, and add the title doc...

I have created a page in Microsoft Word showing a picture of a family crest and description of the family origin. Is it possible to import this into F.H. to replace the default Title Page when making a book, and/or DVD.
Thank you.
