Re: V7 Offline Install
I also have this problem. For security reasons I do not trust the internet and keep my tree and other research on a laptop that has no access to the outside world. I download to my desktop and after checking, transfer any files to the laptop on memory stick etc. I am working on two computers. One f...

V7 Offline Install
What a pity. Installation is only possible online. A former user of FH6 is booted out. Bye-Bye.

Map offline
For those people who wish to use FH without Internet, it would be great to have a small (low resolution) world map in the maps-window.
The grid may be poor. For manually added coordinates a marker should be shown on the map. Marker dragging should work.

Workspace characteristics
Please add a possibility to save main workspace window view.
I am using FH always with the same view and it is annoying to adjust the view every time when starting .

Sources For: display of all Citations
Refering to my post in the "General usage"-forum list Sources for: <whole record> (12515)
I want to suggest an extended view of the Sources display in the Property-box, see attachment.

Re: Sources for: <whole record>
Yes I know this plugin.
Anyway, here a suggestion for improvement of the source-window: see attachment.
Would'nt it be nice to see the overview without plugin?

Re: Sources for: <whole record>
So far I understand.
Other genealogical programs show a list of all assigned sources as an overview. (example Legacy).
This is very convenient to see if there are sources in one glance.
In FH6 I must look at the dropdown-list to see whether there are sources.

How can I save my preferred workspace-view in FH6? Every time when starting I must manually adjust my view. This is tedious. At the left side I have the Records-window. In the middle the Focus-window and the Map-window. At the right side the Property-box. One wish for a future version of FH: Why not...

I have a question concerning the source box (FH6). In the dropdown list you can select <whole record>. What does this mean? I hoped to see all existing sources for an individual. But the source list says: "No Sources" although my individual has 2 sources for alternative names. Do I understand someth...

Re: MAP Window offline use
Hi Mike, in the Map-WIndow you can select OpenStreetMap or OSM Roads for viewing maps. And it is possible offline! After trying a little I found the way. You need a second PC with internet and installed FH6. There open the FH6 Map-Window, view and scroll online within OpenStreetMaps. Close FH6 and m...

MAP Window offline use
Hi,
FH6 is running on Windows 8.1 without internet (because of security reasons). Is it possible to use OpenStreetMap offline? I can download map-data via an other PC. Or is there a simple world map for those people without internet?
Thanks,
Karl
