Re: Customize Vertical Lines
Thanks for all those suggestions. I have not yet re-installed the program, but as yet none of the other attempts worked.

Re: Customize Vertical Lines
Here is an earlier tree I made with the one person selected and vertically extended downwards.
And yes, I have tried the options you recommended; but so far the whole tree moves, not the one box with line I wish to move.
Cheers

Re: Customize Verticle lines
I am preparing my chart for a book. No, I try the box by itself but no, the whole chart moves, not the box alone. I've altered the scale which means it fits onto a Portrait page, and I've saved it to a .pdf/one page etc - all of which is great. But I have another tree with 13 children - and once upo...

Customize Vertical Lines
My tree extends quite wide and would certainly fit a landscape size A4 page. One the other hand a portrait orientation would be much more convenient. Once before I did manage to pull down selected boxes so that they automatically 'bunched up' thus using much less space and would fit neatly onto an A...

Re: Property Box is Frozen
Well - I knew that if I asked you guys you would know the issue and explain it. So the dumb ones amongst us may now rest easy at night knowing the sides can move here and there, the bars can go left and right, the size of both panes may be adjusted at will and so on. What a miracle - thanks so much....

Re: Property Box is Frozen
Tatewise: "Does the Add Citation button that is visible work or not?" I can see it, and I can enter data into it, but it remains the same size as in the attached image; hence 'frozen.' "Do you just mean you don't know how to alter its width?" The separator handles do not release the RH side, they on...

Re: Property Box is Frozen
Yes, I have tried the separator bar - all that does is to expand the size of the personal information box, it does not expand the reference side of the box.
By 'frozen' I mean it remains as in the image - unmoveable, cramped, not moving, cannot be expanded to full size.

Property Box is Frozen
Hi, my Property Box has somehow frozen to lefthand side only. The RH side with sources etc only just peeps into view as per image attached. The horizontal or resize handles only enlarge the LH view, do not unfreeze the sources pane.

Re: FH Novapdf malfunction
Many thanks I had forgotten I had the same issue previousy. Yes the resolution with FH Nova pdf 2400 does not convert to Adobe pdf; the highest value that does work is at 1200dpi, certainly from 300 dpi upwards to max 1200. Once it is in Adobe then the quality can be further upgraded should that be ...

FH Novapdf malfunction
For several times I have tried to get FH PDF to print out via Adobe pdf - every other time has been no problem, but now FH Nova refuses to believe or else Adobe refuses to believe that FH Novapdf is a legitimate device, and Adobe is my default viewer. What am I missing here?

Re: Save a Gedcom File as a Project
My normal practice is to go to FH/Project, select the Project I need and go from there. Recently I found certain Projects missing from the Project List. Only discovered them under File/Gedcom File Task where they were listed under C:/ etc Double clicked onto that icon and yes, they did open; but the...

Re: Save a Gedcom File as a Project
Dear Jane, Tatewise Error message said ‘Unable to open the path, the path is not valid’ Found the path had been saved into the Public folder and will not open from there. Cannot explain how that happened – not by my deliberate action as far as I know - maybe when my browser updated. Now I simply mov...

Save a Gedcom File as a Project
I notice that my Project files seem to be mysteriously changed into Gedcom tasks. How do I keep the Gedcom Project as a project and listed in the Project Window from which they disappear without asking my permission? FHv6

Re: Large 150 Box Tree Diagram
I've taken to making smaller charts in the meantime. That is I created a chart of only three generations. Then I found the youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM7Eie3ScR4 helpful. Now I have created a basic A4 Landcape page and moved the excess offspring onto a space below the main group. That l...

Re: Large 150 Box Tree Diagram
Chart is 'Saved As' pdf while in FH. In FH I also choose the dpi at 1400 or more for best quality. Pdf version is opened by Adobe and box ticked 'single page'. Image is now Landscape 296.97 x 209.97 mm. Scale 11%. To make this image more manageable how do we print it without a nearly 3 metre sheet o...

Large 150 Box Tree Diagram
In my current project the family bred like rabbits. The number of children in each generation jumps from six to nine and back to six. This generates a tree extending to over 3 metres. Is it possible to ask FH6 to split a generation into two or more lines just as a sentence in a text will split when ...

Re: Format of ISR Fact Section Labels
Cheers; absolutely no worries with the Fact tab arrangement. Just checked now, and tried editing the Section Label from Times New Roman to Calibri. I did NOT change the font size. The Fault emerged- Batis m, not baptism. Longer Labels such as Residence, Marriage - are unaffected by the change of fon...

Screenshot (23).png Screenshot (22).png Screenshot (21).png Yes, I take to heart the difference between Labels and Page Layout. Format of ISR Fact Section Labels
Having a similar issue but under the "Emigration" "Occupation" and "Immigration" Section Labels. I have changed the Font size to 8pts; now the Title changes from Emigration (at 10 pts, all one word, all on same line and occupying same space) to 'EmigratioD', next line 'n'; the 'D' has a v above it. ...

Yes, that's it. The original size measured nearly 3000 x 600mm.
Anyway it's worked with the reduced dpi for now.
Thanks for the reference to the Forum.

Re: Save Diagram as .pdf in Win10
OK, I think I may have solved the issue. No, tatewise, I did not ignore your comment, I did have a struggle to understand quite what you intended, but I did a Save As on another document of the FH chart into a pdf format into a different location and also into the same location as the missing chart ...
