Re: What specifically can you currently do with a gedcom 7 exported file?
Wayne, what exactly is your objective? Is it to experiment with GEDCOM v7? Is it to migrate your FH Project to Ancestry.com? If the latter, do you want a full Family Tree or are you more interested in maintaining Ancestry 'hints'? My highest priority is getting my FH tree on to Ancestry.com in the ...

What specifically can you currently do with a gedcom 7 exported file?
I would like to be able to import a FH Gedcom 7 file into ancestry.com but that is currently not possible. Are any genealogical apps or websites that have flagged their intention to implement Gedcom 7 import capabilities?

Re: Selected TMG Source field not migrating to FH
The missing data is definitely not anywhere in the FH record. I have reported this to Calico Pie.

Re: Removing living people from a FH create website
I think I found one acceptable solution in the absence of a "Flag Dead" query that works similar to "Flag Living" query. What I did was: 1. Created a list of all individuals with a death date column and a Flag column. 2. Ran query and sorted into death date order. 3. Highlighted any flag entries wit...

Re: Removing living people from a FH create website
Hi Jane, I have gone through the process of using the "Flag Living" custom query to display what the query believes to be living people. At a glance it appears to do a reasonable job. I then used "Set Flag on Row Records" to assign a living flag to people in the generated list. This all works fine. ...

Removing living people from a FH create website
Hi all, I was looking at the native FH web site creation process as an option for me. I have a FH Project created from a TMG import. None of the "Living Y/N" flags appear to have migrated, so it appears, from looking at the FH web creation process, that I need to have the living/non living status fo...

Selected TMG Source field not migrating to FH
Hi all, Selected TMG Source records are not migrating all fields in the TMG Source Record to FH. TMG Source record examples are: TMG Electronic Web Site Source - Not migrating Web Site URL TMG Email Messages Source - Not migrating the email address of the sender of the email. I think this could be a...

Re: Support for Witnesses in V6
Thanks for all the helpful information on this topic. I am still very curious as to what other options will become available with the introduction of Witness functionality in V6.
I assume V6 availability is a long way away considering V5 is quite new.

Re: Seaching Multiple Projects
Hi Colin, Do you use Pools as a tool as Mike suggests in this topic to do practical day to day things such as exporting twig data (as a GEDCOM) and reporting on individual twigs or to you use some other method/identifier to to distinguish between unconnected groups of people? I am just trying to asc...

Re: Support for Witnesses in V6
Hi Jim, I have read up on Ancestral Sources Method 1, and if I was starting again, I might employ this method. Unfortunately I employed Method 2 in TMG and extensively used witnesses. In particular I used roles and custom facts to generate very precise and specific sentences. With 25 odd trees I wou...

Support for Witnesses in V6
Hi all, Is there any more information available on the proposed witness functionality in V6 of FH? Is it going to be used to enhance the experience with shared facts (Census entries, Electoral rolls entries etc)? Will witness functionality be combined with Role functionality to enable the Role of a ...

Re: Seaching Multiple Projects
Hi all, Thanks for the prompt and very informative response to my question. I guess I am using TMG Data Sets in a one name study context. I have had in excess of 30 THURLEY Data Sets at points in time but are now down to about 25. There is never common people across Data Sets because, as soon as I f...

Seaching Multiple Projects
Hi all, I am currently assessing the suitability of FH with data exported from TMG. A really useful feature in TMG is "Data Sets. I have allocated a Data Set to each of my unconnected "THURLEY" trees (twigs). All THURLEY information is in the one TMG THURLEY Project but each separate twig is stored ...
