Any news on how to resolve this?

It seems to have started after I bought the new pc, it was OK on the old pc.
The files are in ' Downloads.'

It hasn't helped Nick, still about the same delay searching for the downloaded image. Would it be best to uninstall AS and reinstall it?

I've been so long discussing my project problems with Mike that I'm sorry to say, Nick, that I've only just got round to your reply. However I've followed your thread and have deleted the relevant ASProjectOptions file so will see if that cures the problem.

OK done that and downloaded new back up plug in to do it and now see (is that correct?):

I 'cut' as you suggested bur was unable to paste it? Should I do another back up of settings?
However as you can see I have the following on C:\Users\johnw\Documents\Family Historian Projects:

Thank you Mike, my photos folder contains both types, so I'll keep that.
I've deleted the file from D Google Drive but am a bit confused about the 2 on C Drive as they look the same?

The media must be taking up loads of memory if it's on C, D and a separate file I have as photos?

Mike, I have cut and pasted the 7 files from D GD to C as directed; done another External files check and auto repaired the 7 successfully. Now having run it again there appear to be no broken links see:

Do I have to do this with all the files on D GDrive, I guess that I'll have to 'select' the individual jpgs and then cut and paste?

Yes Mike I can follow that logic and usually my media is in the jpg format. I found the census media as well as the other media in D Documents Google Drive, etc, now what?

Hello Mike, I'm at cofused.com again, I can't see that there are any media files shown in External file links? see:

Hi Mike, auto repaired 22 items of 22 so that appears to be OK, result now is:

I don't know why it shows GDrive in the links as I've taken everything out of GD?
