Many thanks for the various ideas. I tried renaming it which was fine and solved the problem except it isn't in the FH folder. I think the only thing to do is to transfer to a datastick and re-enter it from that. I tried another tree and that didn't create a temp folder so I hope the problem is now ...

It was Fall Creators Update but I didn't notice a number. I have FH 6. It has created a temp file which I cannot open as it has one of those blank page symbols against which when you click on says look for a file to open it and then when you do there isn't a suitable file. Very frustrating! Fortunat...

The new update from Windows has created a problem with FH as it couldn't save the project I was working on. It's created a temp file so I've not lost anything, but wondered if this problem had already been reported.

My concern is the new way V6 has laid out the Narrative Reports which when I click Descendents by Generation does not give me a chronological listing from Root to the latest generation. I have 309 pages for a tree of only 169 p...
