Yes - that is exactly how I triggered the error message. The father was auto filled when I clicked 'Select' - Individual on the right, and then typed in the mothers name as she was not already in my tree. Thats odd. I was using the record id of the father who was already in my tree, and entering the name of the mother as a person not in the tree when the error message ocurred. I have now entered the mother into the tree in FH then used her id number in Ancestral Sources and it has worked ok.

We are not sure why they married twice - perhaps if they were first cousins the catholic priest first time around refused to marry them, and they either turned to another religion (there seem to be several ST Peters in Liverpool) or to the registry office...
