Re: Chart family lines

I recommend not using the All Relatives chart because it can be confusing. Use the Ancestor and Descendant chart instead.

The best method would be for someone to help you live online by sharing screens on Zoom or Skype. Quick simple and very effective.

Downloading FMP Sources

Little.auk - Regarding your first paragraph in Media Thumbnails (21799), you might find it much easier to Download the census images from Findmypast rather than printing them. Use the third Option "Download record" - to the left of Viewer controls. They download as JPGs.

Yes, I attach source images to the people concerned.

Census via AS method 2 - by ticking "Link images to individuals" kindly provided by Nick.

Or via the Individual Property Box > Media tab > Add Media.

Thinking Out Of The Box The video discusses the recording of sources citations and facts by typing on the keyboard, as if that is the only possible method. There is an alternative, not often discussed. In this digital world data storage is without limit and cheap. I simply download or scan or photo...

Commenting on the first sentence in this thread, Family Historian diagrams are great for inputting information as well as outputting. I work in diagrams over 90% of the time. I rarely use the Focus Window.

I am wondering why you you trying to view the image in a diagram? In the Property Box > Media tab do you see a thumbnail of the image? If yes, select it, then click the black arrow in a green circle to "Open in Editor/Player" at full original resolution.

Then, when you are ready to start a FH session on a particular project, right click the FH icon on your taskbar and s...

Thanks for your reply Mike. A tall Property Box is no longer much of a problem now that we have a vertical scroll.

I use ...
