Thank you Jane - I just hadn't noticed the 'Options' button.
Must be getting old and decrepit.

Picture labels on Family CD
Having created a Family CD I find that all the pictures are labelled 'twice' i.e. with the person's name and also with the file name of the pictures. Often the two are same so they appear as e.g. 'Joe SOAP. Joe Soap' I've scoured the manual and help files but can't find how to omit either the person...

Scanning Birth etc. Certificates
If it's any help - I had the same problem with older certificates and found that the simplest solution was to photograph them with a digital camera - saves hassle joining them together either electronically or physically.

Labels for empty fields in diagrams
I'm about to produce an 'All Relatives' diagram for a big family gathering. Is it possible to print field abbreviations e.g. b., marr., d. in the text boxes to act as a prompt for people to fill in their own details. Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't see it on a quick skip throu...

Links to pictures gone awry
Hi there again,
Sussed it[grin]
I'd copied the gedcom file from my laptop to main desktop across the network and this had messed up the links.
Now copied the gedcom using a floppy and all links are restored properly.

Links to pictures gone awry
Hi there Something unfortunate has happened to my pictures - similar to the previous thread. The pictures are in the wrong folder for the links. Is there any way I can reset the the links without having to do it for each picture individually? (All the pictures are in the same folder)[frown][cry][cry...

All Entries Diagrams
Jane, May I please add my vote for an 'all entries' diagram. A fortnight ago we had a 'family gathering' and I produced a tree showing everyone - people just love to see how they relate to a common ancestor - and everyone else. Only problem was the tree was 20 feet x 6 ft and took 2 days to glue tog...

Blank field titles in diagrams
Hi there,
Is it possible to print field titles eg. b., m., d, in diagrams for fields where there is no data.
It would be very useful and prompt family members to 'fill in the blanks'
If there is no 'title' they just tend to ignore the field
Regards

Empty Boxes using laser printer
Thanks for your reply Jane, Inspiration struck me at work this morning - I switched off 'print spooling' and printed 'direct to the printer' - hey presto - super diagrams. However, I think you are probably correct in thinking the driver is at fault - will have a look for new drivers. Regards Peter ...

Empty Boxes using laser printer
Hi there I'm very new to FH and am having problems printing diagrams. Using my HP Deskjet printer diagrams (Ancestors) print perfectly but when I try my Brother laser printer the boxes are empty i.e. no text at all. Have tried every combination in the print 'set-up' to no avail. Any suggestions will...
