Re: Transferring FH7 on EHDD to FH7 on HDD
The answer depends on what 'data' you are talking about. There are two major categories of 'data' to consider. 1) The FH Project data folders that are usually inside the Family Historian Projects folder and is what I guess is on the EHDD. 2) The FH custom settings data for such as Diagrams, Reports...

Transferring FH7 on EHDD to FH7 on HDD
Hello Everyone, I have FH7 on my new PC. My whole FH7 and data is on the old EHDD which I have installed on a HDD Docking tool. Can I connect the HDD docking to my new PC and transfer the data direct or do I need to use plugins? Sorry to ask but was unable to work it out from the excellent knowledge...

Re: Archive PDF Searches
Many thanks tatewise. I am in your debt once more. I will certainly look at your advice over the weekend. I may not have made myself very clear. I can see the point of making the report the source for every name and type that I have extracted from it and will certainly do this. What I also wanted to...

Re: Archive PDF Searches
Seems very straightforward for single person documents. But where' o' where do I attach a source which has references to births, deaths, and marriages of several people in a report? My first thought was to attach them to my root ancester but all I have of him is his name, the name of his wife and hi...

Archive PDF Searches
Hello all, I am no longer able to visit LG Archives for research purposes and have a researcher make a search and report for me. Is there any place in FH that I can store these reports in PDF format? I have already inserted individual data from the report in my Family Tree and referred to the report...

Re: Source Recordings FH/AS
Thank you both. I very much appreciate your help. Sorry that I have not replied sooner but age etc. caught up with me for a while. I will now do what you advise and plough through the User guides. Something that I should have done before I started entering data. Will let you know how I am getting on...

Source Recordings FH/AS
I have been recording sources/citations via AS slowly for a while. I notice that they are all in the source records window of FH but they do not appear in the RH part of the individuals source box. Is this the norm. Do I have to use FH to record the sources here or am I totally stupid (as usual)? Tony

Getting the Most!!!
What has happened to Getting The Most From Family Historian v5? I expected it, or an updated version, to load into v6. Do I have to download it from V5 disc into V6? Hope I am not being naive?

A tale of two Richards
There are two Richards in my Tree/Diagram, cousins, born a year apart(1796/97) in different villages. There is doubt which one married twice. I want to keep the option I have but want to copy the wives and descendants of that option then attach them to the other Richard in another file that I have. ...

Saving List reports
I want to save a list report with all the columns I've selected. I find on saving that there is only the name,date/year and reference number. Is there a way to save all the columns. I will find such a list useful on visiting Hereford records office.

Please excuse my stupidity. I've not been able to find answers to these questions. What I would like to know:- 1. Where are profile pictures shown at the top left hand corner of a post obtained? 2. How are they affixed? 3. What does UBBC mean? 4. I notice that research/surname interests appear at th...
