Old versions of AS plugin
When I download and attempt to use v4.6 of this , I get the message "This Plugin runs the Ancestral Sources application. Only one copy must be installed, but multiple copies exist in: C:\Proram Files\Ancestral Sources\Ancestral Sources.exe C:\Program Files(x86)\Ancestral Sources\Ancestral Sources\An...

This link might be of interest https://finance.yahoo.com/news/family-h ... 00958.html; perhaps angled more to the other side of the pond!

Re: Using Ancestry's Family Tree and Family Historian
And you can mark any tree you upload as Private; the Ancestry site says this : Private Tree This setting makes your tree "Private" so that it can't be viewed as a Public Member Tree. Note that the information from your tree will still be indexed for searching, but those who find your information can...

Version 5 release by TWR computing
In preparation for a download of the upgrade - and perhaps to help others - what do I need? Currently running v4.1.3; I have the CD and registration key for v3 and I believe I got to v4 by download. Is that sufficient for me to buy the download upgrade to v5?

Good news! Has anyone seen any reference to an online upgrade download? TWR just refers to the CD upgrade.

Drop Box follow up
Yes, Andrew, I think you're right; when I posted above on the problem, I found that I could get round it by sending another copy of just the GED file to Dropbox and then Family Bee opened it correctly. The only drawback, as you say, is remembering to update that copy when Family Historian changes. I...

Drop Box follow up
On a slightly different tack, but still connected, I'm having difficulty opening FH files in Dropbox on my Android tablet (Asus transformer) using Family Bee. I've transferred the project files to Dropbox as advised, but when I try to open the .ged file in Family Bee I get the message 'Could not loa...

FH output viewed on a Kindle
I'd be interested in this as well; one possibility is to use the facility shown here http://www.klip.me/ to transfer content from a web page to the kindle, but there should be a more elegant solution.

Task and To Do's
Great, thanks; got that sorted now and it's useful having the option of the alternative view you mentioned.
BTW, your screenshot earlier in the thread of William the Conqueror caused me to post the query under 'Cosmetic' as I noticed the coloured fill to the Individual title box-how was that done?

Task and To Do's
I've followed some of Redrock's steps to create a To Do List tab with 2 tasks 1 and 2, but how do I crete a text box for each which is more than one line? I tried ticking the 'variable' option but that gave me 2 boxes the full height of the Property Box; I need something in between! http://www.fhug....

This is a query about appearances-I can see how to customise the Focus Window and change the fill colours of the boxes and text for the various parameters listed in the Colours section of the Focus window preferences menu, but when I try to do the same for the Property box, the only parameters liste...

Like this a lot, but could you explain the steps required to produce it? And how do you colour the Property Box fill - I can only see options for Link and Sources Pane background.
Thanks

Merging diagrams
Yes, thanks for that; I've tried the 'everyone' option, but I don't like the swoopy lines it creates. I've experimented now with the 'Insert into diagram' but it seems difficult to position the new diagram without duplicating boxes. I was just surprised that the 'All relatives' option seems to miss ...

Merging diagrams
A slight variation on the original query: I have a small file of 25 individuals who are all related, either directly or by marriage. Using the 'all relatives' diagram format, I can't get all the individuals shown in the diagram-there are always some missing irrespective of who I select as the focus....

Another option is to use Widows Live Local (http://local.live.com/)which has a scratch pad facility to insert pushpins with accompanying text. You can also create a 'permalink' of your map to store in Favourites or to send to someone.

Is there any news yet on the availability of a download of the V3 upgrade? And its price?
