The Text Scheme that I am using at present is "All events & attributes & rec notes" I have come across names where I cannot find (yet) any birth details. I know that I could find the birth section of the text scheme & to tick the 'no data' box and then write 'no birth details'...

deleting individual records
Hi there.
I have made a bit of a mess with the individual records window.
could somebody advise how to delete some of the records? I appreciate that this will leave some gaps in the numbering system but that cannot be helped
Many thanks
Ron

Re: Facts
Thank you Lorna. Yes I am using Windows XP. I am glad that you suggest re-installing. I was going to write to Jane to ask for instructions. My version 5 was a download but I still have my Licence Details. Whilst I am a little reluctant for this course of action because of 1 or 2 special features (I...

Re: Facts
Hello Mike & Lorna. Thank you both for your input. However, I am so frustrated, I have done exactly what you have both said and I end up with the same 4 items. I even went into the 'sample', the Munro's, and the same thing happens. Obviously I have ticked a box or done something somewhere. What...

Facts
I have started right at the very beginning having deleted all previous efforts. I apologise for beginners questions which may have been asked previously. In 'fact sets' I want to enter such things as baptism and adoption for starters but all I get is 4 entries: Blessing of marriage, change of name,...

Census
I shall shortly be looking at census returns starting with 1911. I have signed up with Ancestry and hopefully will be using that. Is there a download preformat that I could use for recording the information that I find? I have looked at the downloads in FHUG but there is so much I am somewhat confu...

Re: Marriage/Divorce
Many thanks Mike, life does not get any easier does it? But then life would be less interesting. I will stick with what I have and be grateful. I shall have to readdress the problem when I get onto census returns.

Marriage/Divorce
Good morning all. I have been playing about with 'Text Schemes. On trees that I have compiled where there are multiple marriages and divorce's ;the trees show Marr, Marr, Div, Div. Is it possible to change this to Marr, Div, Marr, Div? It is not important but I thought that I would ask.

I submitted a post earlier today in the Research Forum addressed to Anne & Jan regarding certificates in Ancestry. I can no longer see this post; has it been moved or considered not allowed?

Re: Ancestry
Hello Anne & Jan. You have both confirmed that it is possible to get images of marriage certificates from Ancestry and Find my Past and that they contain exactly the same information as a GRO cert would. I am trying to find the Birth record of Ruth M. Kelly. I know when & where she was marri...
