How many people can I put on a FH diagram

Jane that's useful information only when I have used up a lot of the HardDrive's space then I check it quickly.

Only some days the newish PC goes a bit slower than others.

How many people can I put on a FH diagram

Jane thanks for that information only I have not even got around to thinking about printing off a diagram yet.

I was really think more of the HardDrive space that it would take up
although I'm aware that I can buy more
gigtabytes, if need be.

How many people can I put on a FH diagram

I will have around 5,000+ people for the final FH 'All Relatives' type of the diagram that I use.

I have only been using this software since the spring and don't know roughly how many people I could put on one file/software thingy.

Any advice is welcome thanks

Can I default the Ancestors amp; Descendants Diag

Jon Axtell
As I am doing the whole Family Tree, then I started with the FH software,
I put myself as the Root person.

Ok so I can't do that then. I will write my preference down then it won't take ages to sort out of a morning.

Also I do look and use the icons as well as the buttons too.

Can I default the Ancestors amp; Descendants Diag

JonAxtell I have tried those options several times. I am not that sure exactly what you mean about the icons though, partly because I am still adding to it as I do the research and make mistakes. I want if possible to be able to have or make the whole diagram that I am working with as a default that...

Can I default the Ancestors amp; Descendants Diag

Jane no what I tried to explain (badly) is that will I always have to choose the type of Diagram?

As long as I work on it or can I make the 'Ancestors & Descendants' one, my default?

The family tree started with
Benjamin Wolf Franklin, 1740 - 1785 going down to the birth of Amelie last December.

Can I default the Ancestors amp; Descendants Diag

Jane thank you and the 2 sisters were adopted by Paternal Aunt. So that is how come they are my cousins. I was wondering if it is possible to make a Default or permanent methond of my chosen preference for the Ancestors & Descendants Diagram?? Because it's easier and quicker to find the relatives, w...

Can I default the Ancestors amp; Descendants Diag

Hiya, I am working with my preferred 'Ancestors & Descendants' Diagram because it started as far as I have got to mid 1700s and stops at 11/12/07. But each time that I go to open it, I take ages trying to work out which one I like using best. Well, is it possible to Default a Diagram type? Also I ha...

Change the colour of World War casualties??

I have at least 10+ World War male casualties in my family tree and I am
slowly grasping the idea of the diagram.

Making mistakes but I was wondering if it is at all possible to change the colour of these type of the diagram people's boxes?

Thanks

I don't know how to add relatives - the diagram ??

Thanks Dave, The first thing that I did after I'd downloaded the Family Historian's Software was to go onto the site and then read all of the Manual. I find it easier online as the booklet's font is too small for me. I will have another look at it later on today. Yes I am having problems but with ne...

I don't know how to add relatives - the diagram ??

Jan Thanks and the Records list on Family Historian looks like a jumbled up list of my family. It is odd as I started with myyself and I am, No., 11 but there is no 1 -10. My parents are 12 and 13, How do I unlink them on the diagram? Yesterday was the day that I really got a sort of grasp of it not...

I don't know how to add relatives - the diagram ??

Yesterday, Friday I spent most of the day arranging the Family Historian software's diagram with my Family Tree. Which was interesting fun. But as some members of my family including my Dad have married twice, I have added them only now it looks like I have 2 mother?  I had a Stepmum. Only now the d...

I don't know how to add relatives - the diagram ??

I have more or less worked out by trial and error, how to make a relatives list on the Family Historian software. I am using  myself as the 'root' person but each time I try to add one of my brothers, their OH's and our parents. It looks messy as I right-click like the 'How To's' thing said. Because...

Thanks and I will try that one over the weekend. It is nice to keep on learning to find out how to sort my (many) mistakes.

Also I like this forum.

I' done it all wrong - or have I?

Jane
Thanks and I tried to explain that as I'd said that the first person (root) was my Dad, then Mum. Then grandparents only they have gone below my parents generation rather than above as I'd seen the trees should be.

Can I drag and drop the boxes to sort it out??

I' done it all wrong - or have I?

I started researching my family tree in late January 08 but I have only just started to use the FH software and I find it confusing. Because I started with my Father as the 'root person' then my Mum. After that I typed in first, my maternal grandparents then the paternal ones. Also the next move for...
