Plugin Map Life Events
I have used this plugin before and found it worked well. I noticed that I did not have the most recent version so upgraded it today. (In fact I upgraded most of them including 'Create and Update Ancestor and Descendant Counts'.) I notice that when I generate the web page that at the bottom is listed...

Marriages Discussion
This discussion so far has centred on Witnesses but I should like to raise another point re Marriages. Often one of the parents is recorded as being deceased. If a death / burial record did not exist for that individual, I always record a date of death as being before 'Date of Marriage'. It would be...

Adoption
Before 1927 ine England and Wales and 1930 in Scotland adoptions were arranged on a private basis, either by individuals or by one of a number of charitable adoption agencies. Quite often children were adopted by other members of the same family. If this is so or if done in another informal way no r...

The file path is C:Program FilesGedcom Censuscensuslog.txt I will clear the log file and enter in a couple of census's tonight to check things. For now I have to get on with my job. I will ask Sim...

FH not accepting saved data from GedCom Census
Hi Nick, Thnks for your reply. It could be that between one census and the next I did not save FH. I will will double check I am doing this when I next use GC. I checked the log file and none of the census's that I have entered, including the ones sucessfully entered into FH are there. None in fact ...

FH not accepting saved data from GedCom Census
This problem only occurs every second or third entry. The last time it occured I had sucessfully entered in the data for 1851 & 1861 for a particular family. After each of these enteries when I went into FH it reloads the file as it should. When entering the 1881 & 1891 census at the end of entering...

Wish List items
I have recently been entering a lot of data with dates in the Julian Calander. The unfortunate thing is that in most date boxes on the Property Dialog you cannot see the full date. eg. If the date is 23 July 1611 and you enter it as a Julian date the all you see is [Julian] 23. The box is not big en...

Recording where something was NOT found
I do my family history research intermittently and I am forgetful. [grin] It would be very usesful if I could record that I had researched a particular document and found NO relevant entry for a particular person or event. This information would then be linked to the person or event and could be pri...
