Family Historian on Apple Mac

I have just installed V3.1.2 on my macbook Pro using Crossover. Seems to work well! Only small problem so far is some of the help options crash FH. I used a full install of FH, no upgrades
I'll let you know in a week or so if its stable and is worthwhile.

PHPGEDVIEW

OK, I worked it out, the custom attribute was generating the tag _ATTR which I added to facts.en.php and all is well.[smile]

PHPGEDVIEW

No luck on GEDVIEW forum yet but I have found this in the help As an example, if you use a genealogy program that generates the tag '_ZZZZ' you can customize PhpGedView to accept this code by adding the following lines to the facts.en.extra.php file: So my question now is, how do I know what tag FH3...

PHPGEDVIEW

Hi

I have created a custome attribute in FH3 called Military Service. When I upload my gedcom to PHPGEDVIEW it generates an error message saying unrecognised attribute. How can I avoid this.

Thanks
Ian

Events and Attributes

I guess since occupation is an attribute then military service must be as well? (just thinking out loud)

Events and Attributes

Hi

Is military service an Event or Attribute. To me it seems to be both. And does it really matter. An Attribute has an extra field to enter what kind of service.

Thanks

Yes this works but doesnt seem very efficient. Why cant I click on source in the individual pane and go directly to my source picture. Even expanding source in the yellow pane and highlighting multimedia and then clicking camera icon does not take me there.

Thanks

I am new to FH and working out the best way to use sources. I am using BC's etc as sources. So I create a source as 'BC Ian Matthews' and scan the certificate and link it to this source. I then add citation and select the BC for the relevant individual. There doesnt seem any way of viewing this scan...
