Strange behaviour of %INDI.~SPOUgt;NAME%

Many thanks to both Jane and Dave for solving this one for me.  My brain hurts!

Strange behaviour of %INDI.~SPOUgt;NAME%

I have a query that includes spouse details via %INDI.~SPOU>NAME%

If %INDI% is a woman, the result is correct: her (first) husband's name. But if %INDI% is a man, the result is his own name.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something? I am using FH 4.0.2

Sources and citations - a tool

Apologies for the delay, but I have now zipped the Sources Explorer code and put it at http://www.rgemini.me.uk/famhist/sourcesexplorer.zip. I am releasing this under the GPL3 licence.

All the files reside in one folder. I will do my best to provide support if you hit problems.

Sources and citations - a tool

Thanks for letting me know. As far as I can tell, this looks like a 1-off problem. It's not caused by exceeding my disk space allocation, which was my first thought. The line with the error is where I assemble the data for storage before writing it to disk, and I think I have some options for optimi...

I've reworked the loading routines and data storage approach. The revised version seems to perform quite a lot faster on my 1Meg GEDCOM file. As before, I am happy to provide support to anyone who finds this useful and would welcome any feedback.

Thanks for letting me know - I'll find out how to increase the available memory, if I can, and let you know the result here.

Sources and citations - a tool

The problem was that I had reached my disk space quota limit. [frown] So I have done some housekeeping and everything seems to be OK now. You'd think 600Mb would be plenty of space, but it's amazing how quickly family photos can fill it up [rolleyes] Sorry about that! By the way, the file upload can...

Sources and citations - a tool

I found myself having trouble keeping track of my sources and citations so I've put together a tool to help. If it would help any of you other FH users, you are welcome to make use of it too. It's a couple of web pages, one which loads a copy of a GEDCOM file and the main one which displays the sour...

Merge/Compare shortcut keys

I often use the merge/compare facility and would really like to be able to speed up the process and make it more ergonomic. If the buttons along the bottom of the window had keyboard shortcuts I could use the mouse to highlight fields and records with my right hand and the keyboard to do the actions...

Census wordings

Is there a way to modify all the census wordings in a report? I want to say, '{he/she} appeared in the {year} census in {place}', rather than the default, '{he/she} appeared in the census in {year} in {place}'.
