Can anyone please decipher the following which is an entry under the 'Relation to Head' column in the 1871 Census. I have tried 'Resitus' and 'Presitus' in the dictionary and have drawn a blank. [wink]

Sorry Jane, went to the link you gave and the link to the software is dead. It does state that it is for Windows 95, and I run XP so maybe that's why.

I find it helpful to subscribe to both together with britishorigins.co.uk and findmypast.com in order to verify the information i find on ancestry. I did find someone on britishorigins who was completely mistranscribed on ancestry so it is a help I find and worth having another source to check with.

The only way I can think of to do this is to click on the date in the Event Tab of the properties sheet for each person and then delete the date and month individually.
Wouldn't it be easier to just flag these as 'Living' and then upload them?[wink]

Thanks for that Jane, I'll try that. Now I have another question - I have a few photos that are very dark and the details (like faces in one instance) are too dark to see for dating and geographic clues. Does anyone have any tips please?
