Re: 1921 UK census - how to reference a schedule from its Findmypast image?
Last Saturday on the National Archives event Census surgery: behind the 1921 census , Audrey Collins said TNA has not yet finalised the most accurate method of referencing specific household schedules. She said the full reference given on FMP transcriptions contains all the relevant information, but...

Re: Assessment of a relationship rather than a fact
Peter, I wanted a similar function and have used a Family As Child Note for each individual which I have displayed in an extra field in the individual property box (underneath the standard Note field) and in an added column in the individuals records window. It feels like a clumsy way of recording t...

Re: Kirkby info needed
I'm not in Merseyside either, but this map from the National Library of Scotland shows several delfs, quarries and pits in the Kirkby and Simonswood area. I think the chances are that your man worked locally. https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=15&lat=53.48204&lon=-2.88158&layers=168&b=1 Hope this...

Re: Change Any Fact Tag Plugin
Just to close out this query: My mistake was loading the incorrect Gedcom file in the editor all the time. When I created a copy to test, it went to the Public folder of my existing FH project, whence I loaded it into a new project in FH via the project window. When I checked the text editor, I was ...

Re: Change Any Fact Tag Plugin
Hi Jane,
Your plugin seems to have helped, and indeed the event has changed from its original form to CENS for the test cases.
I will investigate further why things are not working as they should with FT Analyser.
Many thanks for your help.

Re: Change Any Fact Tag Plugin
Hi Jane, Yes, I even saved it a couple of times while going backwards and forwards between applications! What started me on this was using Family Tree Analyser, which apparently only picks up genuine CENS or RESI entries from the Gedcom, and which of course couldn't see any of my census entries whic...

Change Any Fact Tag Plugin
Hi, I have been experimenting with this plugin with a view to changing existing custom census events to CENS events, and while on the surface it appears to work, I notice that in the test Gedcom I have been using the actual entry remains as it originally was (i.e. not CENS, but EVEN, etc.). Is it in...
