Re: Web site layout
My problem is that the pages look fine when they are in the package folder. But to upload the folders associated with the package is too messy, as the new individuals and families have to integrate with an existing 15000 and individual details pages. In previous versions I have simply been able to c...

Re: Web site layout
I have now discovered that the text layout I didnt like is in fact a problem with the way stylesheets (.css) seem to work . I am trying to update my existing website family details pages with new members and newly discovered information. I run the website creation page for the family branch that I h...

Web site layout
Im not happy with the layout of the family and individuals details pages with version 7. Is it possible to revert to the old style web site? Having been asked if I want to use the new website when I first used it, that seems to suggest there is an option that I could stick with the old version, but ...

Re: 1939 Register
I searched on "1939 Register" and found nothing at all. Life is too short to be pratting around looking for stuff if it doesn't turn up via the search engine. Your response was not helpful Tatenotsowise.

Picture captions in narrative reports - descendants of
Any suggestions as to what I am doing incorrectly that results in a complete absence of captions/labels or titles under the pictures I've included in a narrative report? I thought I'd ticked all the necessary boxes and filled the necessary fields???

Re: Women's occupations
Hi Mike I do consolidate variations on occupation titles into one version, annotating the fact if my standard could be perceived as different to the census or certificate version. So all my ag labs and farm labourer are agricultural labourers, and farm servant and general servant would both be domes...

Re: Women's occupations
Thanks Mike and Lorna for your help and helpful comments. In the first instance I really only want to identify occupations recorded for females. With a database on 18500 individuals, for which earlier records only recorded occupations once and didn't specifically tie them to the census returns, or o...

Duh.
No I couldn't. If I knew how to do any of that I probably wouldn't have asked the question.
Thanks

Women's occupations
I thought it should be easy to run a report listing only occupations of females, ideally in frequency order with count, but I cant figure out how to do it. Ive looked for readymade reports here but cant find any.
Id be most grateful for any suggestions on how to do this.
Many thanks

Occupation Field
Re jane's advice. that's what ive been trying to do, but the Edit Custom Item button has remained steadfastly greyed out. In the end i created a new custom item Occupation Last, and edited that. Occupation as it stands in Available Items was not custom so I couldn't do anything with it.

Cracked it now - not sure how, but i did something that made custom item appear in the Available Items window, so I've now added the last occupation. Thanks

Occupation Field
Not sure if this is an Ancestral Sources or FH issue. The occupation field in the Individual property window is populated when entering census data via AS. But the window will only show the earliest occupation from AS by default, and i can't override it. When looking at an individual's property summ...
