Saving Chart as PDF
It seems to be working! Restoration using System Restore did not work on my system. No idea why. I went into Safe Mode using the System Configuration Utility [running msconfig]. That did not work either. The FH message was 'PDF file output is not enabled'. No printers were seen by Windows in full Sa...

Saving Chart as PDF
I shall try a System Restore and other ways, meanwhile I attach the error message. I have a second PC, so I'll try that.
I am on Windows XP, SP3, using EmsisoftAnti-Malware, latest version 5.1.0.16.
Thank you.

Saving Chart as PDF
I can't recall having installed anything. It last worked Sunday evening and nothing has changed since.
Do you think restoring Installation Settings might help or booting Windows into Safe Mode and then trying?
Is there a way to do a clean install, completely uninstalling FH and then reinstalling?

Saving Chart as PDF
I am suddenly unable to save a FH Diagram [any Diagram] as a PDF. I always could until now. When clicking the final OK, a window pops up headed 'novaPDF' reading 'Error creating PDF file (The handle is invalid.) This dialogue will be closed in ..seconds'. I have uninstalled Family Historian 4 [it is...

How delete a box?
Thank you so much. Deleting the individual Record from the Records Window worked. I am not sure what I was doing before, but no matter.

How delete a box?
How do I delete a single box containing incorrect details from a chart? Deleting the record leaves the box empty but the box is still there. How do I delete that box? I have tried selecting the box and clicking delete but the screen then goes blank; I close and reopen FH and the empty box is still t...

FH4 Crashing when trying to attach photos
Thanks Jane, but no joy. I tried booting in Safe Mode, but that did not work either. Fortunately, I have an older second PC and can attach images there.
I must add that I have come from Family Tree Maker 2006 [although I tried FTM 2010] and FH is so vastly superior.
Regards,
Gerald.

FH4 Crashing when trying to attach photos
I have the same problem as mentioned above. I try to add multimedia, eg a picture. I browse but never get as far as even reaching a jpeg before FH crashes back to the desktop and disappears. Running Windows XP, SP3. There are no entries in the Windows Event Log. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Gerald.
