Saving diagrams as PDF

Also when I look at the file properties, it show 0 KB.When I open the 'printer' it also shows 'error' Any thoughts...

Project file location problem
Just getting used to V4 and am having problems organising the projects as I wish. On V3, I had the gedcoms within my user account as a master Family History folder, with sub folders for each family line, including both the gedcoms and related work/excel etc documents. I would like to keep the same s...

error message- file permission/disk space/fileopen
Many thanks for the tips Jane, they enabled me to sort it very quickly. I recently moved all my family history stuff into a newly created file folder and so the back up file references on Gedcom census had become invalid.Simply correcting the file path in options seems to have done the trick. Many th...

error message- file permission/disk space/fileopen
I've just gone into Gedcom census for the first time in a couple of months and when I try to save, keep getting an error message saying the file can't be backed up because I don't have permission or there isn't enough disc space or the file is open in another application. None of these appears to be...

Vista amp; Gedcom permissions
Thanks Nick. As often, it was the bleeding obvious solution. For whatever reason, the GEDCOM back up folder had not been created, so I did it manually with the same path and name and it has worked.

Vista amp; Gedcom permissions
Thanks folks. I should have said that the backup folder is the default - ie. within my own user documents path, as are the gedcom files. I am the only user set up on the computer and shown as administrator within control panel . Vista is new to me so I'm struggling to work through any issues.

Vista amp; Gedcom permissions
Just tried using GEDCOM (latest) on my new computer and when I try and save I get an error message asking if I have sufficient permissions to write data to the back up folder. Anyone know how to get round this?

Linked notes in narrative reports
In my file, I have a couple of big linked notes relating to family businesses and residences. When I get a narrative descendant report, the notes repeat for every linked individual, which is a pain. I don't want to unlink the notes or make them family nots,as this also means they would not appear wh...

Adding narrative notes
Any suggestions please? My husband's family were prominent business men and 'public servants' in the 19th century and I have a lot of narrative information about their businesses and houses etc. and I'm not sure how best to store it so that it can be effectively regurgitated for report formats. Much...
