Good stuff. That seems to have cracked it. I didn't know about the hide option so that's helped.
Thanks.

Thanks Anne.
I thought it might start getting tougher now! But all the more rewarding when you find stuff I would imagine.

Parents not showing on Family Tree??
It's not as simple as that. I already tried that and if you do an Ancestor and Descendant chart, it ends up adding back in other descendants that are already on the diagram. I tried deleting them individually but it won't let you...it just deletes the whole thing. Can I not create a custom diagram t...

Excellent. I shall check with the Farringdon office you mention. Yorkshire wise...I have family in Brandsby (they are Wedgwoods so I'm wondering if there's some link to the pottery people although I've not found one yet!)...and also other various places such as Bawtry, Cantley, Middlesbrough, Branto...

Thanks Jeremy. Very useful. One part of my direct family are all from Greenwich/Plumstead (SE London) and Kent so I'd guess that the London records offices you mention could hold info on them. Another part of my family are from Yorkshire though so perhaps I might have to order info from local office...

Thanks for that. I'm fortunate that a lot of one half of my family seem to have all come from very near to where I live so local offices might be a good next step.
Thanks again.

Parents not showing on Family Tree??
Thanks for your help. I've found that option in the diagram menu - I take it that's what you mean? It seemed a shame for only 2 people to be missing off my family tree so that's why I wanted them on there. Mind you saying that - I've since found she had a sister so doing an ancestry tree now misses ...

Hello I've got a lot of information through the ancestry.co.uk website - census records, birth, marriage and death records etc...but now I'd like to do some more research and don't really know where to go next. I live near London - is there somewhere there I can go to look at microfiche films etc (i...

Parents not showing on Family Tree??
Hello Still having problems with this. I was wrong in my original post...I am using the 'All Relatives' diagram. I am not keen on the 'Everyone' diagram as personally I find it to be a bit all over the place and hard to follow. The parents not appearing on the diagram are my Great Great Grandfather'...

Parents not showing on Family Tree??
Hello Can anyone help? I have put together a pretty large family tree now and when I try to view the whole thing (I want to try to print it off), everyone appears on the diagram except one person's parents? They are in the database but no 'expansion' button is shown that I can click to reveal their ...
