Good morning Jane, When I backup and close my current/default project corrected for the erasure I made and then later open the project it still opens showing the copy containing the erasure, not the amended copy. I run my copy of FH on my desktop PC. I have now bought a laptop, which is not networked to my PC. It would be ideal if I could use my laptop for entering my FH project at times I am not in my home office with my PC.
Is there any manner in which this can be done?

I accidently deleted an entry on FH . I therefore went to >File >Backup/Restore >Restore and called up my last saved file. I then re-entered the data I had lost and continued by entering some new data. I exited from FH and backed up the file. Next time I used FH it appeared in the original form i.e....

Perhaps I should have recognised the problem earlier but the problem was nothing more than the file I had downloaded was corrupted in some manner. I have now been able to download the book.

It remains only for me to thank you for your interest in my problem.

I have been able to load a family diagram onto a CD. When I try to open the CD on my other computer it requires that I download a ,gdf program. Must I download that file onto my computer or is there another way of reading the CD?[frown]
