Are your two machines on the same Local Area Network (LAN), connected via a router? If so, I can give you a solution which works for me.

Thank you for the clue of 'the media directory'. I didn't have one in v3, but v4 has created one (without telling me) and put all my images in it. What it also did was to create files within My Documents, and save everthing there. This meant that updates on one LAN machine were saved on it, and ...

Backup using v4 does not include photos
I have all my images imbedded in the main file. Yes, I know that is not the recommended method, but it is possible.
With v3, the backup files included the images, but in v4, they do not.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug?
