FH on Ubunto- Linux

Hi Barry, I've had no luck yet! But I am stil trying, and there are folk like Maximus out there that are also giving it a go. We will eventually get there one day!
I'm going to try and put a Linux version onto a Flash Drive and see if it will take it on there, it'll be great if it does.[grin]

FH on Ubunto- Linux

Thanks for the link Jane.
I had already seen that one and it didn't really give the info I was wanting.
However, I'm going to try installing FH on either Kubunto or Ubunto shortly, anyway. So I should find out one way or the other!!!
Many thanks, Colin.[smile]

Multiple File Opening

Thanks for that Nick. I just thought that it would be easier if you could minimise the file you are working on and open another and then switch between them on the task bar, as you can with, say, Word files etc.
Well, whatever, then new update (V.3) certainly has some improvements in it.

Multiple File Opening

I don't know if it is just me, but.... I thought that before I upgraded to V.3 that I was able to open more that one Gedcom file and switch between them without having to go to the 'File' tab and re-open them. Am I doing something wrong????[confused] Ooops! Just seen the 'V.3 Usage' Should have post...

War of Independence

Does anyone have any ideas on how to start getting information about an ancestor who may have been sent to the American War of Independence, or as I have found the Americans call it, the American Revolution. I cannot be sure he went over but niether can I find any sign of him in the U.K. So it could...
