Dates in reports
Hi there,
Does anyone know of a way to get dates to report as 14th, 1st etc rather than just 14, 1.
As this would look much better in a report /book.
I have looked and looked but cant find any refernce to this issue.
Many thanks
David

Hi Sorry I have found out how to do it in the advanced How to's by using the Calico pie folder in the C:Program Data Folder. What may help others is that initially I was unable to see the Program Data Folder and needed to make it visible through the Control panel and File options and checking the Sh...

Hi I understand how to export custom fact sets from one computer to another. But I can't see how to do the same with the standard fact sets. The reason I want to do this is that I have customised the some of the templates in the standard factsets to read as I want them in the reports. Could some kin...

Tab order
Hi Nick,
Thanks for the speedy reply.
I can live with the software as it is.
I was just wondering if I had missed any options.
As I said, it's a fine piece of software and I am very pleased with it.

Hi Nick Just wanted to congratulate you on a great piece of software. I have only just started to use it in earnest. Is it possible to change the tab order when entering ages and occupations, at the moment the tab goes horizontally, I would like to tab vertically down. Its only a minor issue but I t...

How to create a ';To do '; list in FH
I have tried what davidf suggests and it looks like a good solution. The only problem for me is that, as far as I can see, the custom query doesn't like multi line notes. Following on from my topic on Carriage returns. The handling of multi lines seems to be difficult for FH3 hopefully Fh4 might hav...

Narrative reports Carriage return
Hi Nick, If I do a Ctrl+Enter at the beginning of note it appears in the note but not in the narrative report. I still have to put a printing character before it to get the narrative report generator to recognise it. And as John said what we really need is to be able to add a carriage return to the ...

Narrative reports Carriage return
I have been having a play with carriage returns and have discovered it is possible to include them in a notes field. what you have to do is Type some text into a word document, just a few characters separated with a return character. Then copy that text and paste it into a notes field. When you look...

Narrative reports Carriage return
Is it possible to insert carriage returns into the narrative reports.
At the moment sentences just follow on one after the other.
I would like to insert carriage returns to make the report more readable.

Hi Nick
Thanks for your speedy reply.
As gedcom census does look a very useful tool I will do as you suggest and delete my existing flags and re enter them using gedcom census.
It's quite a bit of work but it will be worth it I think!!!!
Many Thanks

Hi I am just beginning to look at using gedcom census. I already had some census flags inserted for individuals in FH. But when I open gedcom census it says there are census flags out of sync and it wants to delete the flags I have already entered. What should I do to with my prevously entered flags...
