Installation of new version .

I have been inactive for some time and still have v3.1 in use. I have just downloaded v6. Should I uninstall v3 before installing v6?

Unscramble writing, please

Thanks both. Looking at it again this morning in better light I came to the same general idea. The first bit looks more like 'Name of'.
I wish that I could get the last bit but I have enough to work on. Now to find Mr. Waters.

Print family tree

From my Project File FH will print my tree with photos on umpteen pages of A4. I want to ask a specialist printer to print the tree plus photos on one big sheet. It can't be as simple as supplying him with a copy of the Project File, can it?

War memorial inscription

I have a cousin who was killed in an Army training exercise in Scotland in 1942. Is he entitled to have his name on his local war memorial or is entitlement granted only if the person was killed in action? (He is listed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.)

Copy project file to CD

I am trying to copy a project file to CD. I have tried saving a Gedcom file copy and I have tried exporting a Gedcom file. I have also tried a standard Windows file copy. In every case the file transfers to the CD but all photographs are missing and have been replaced by a mixture of blank rectangle...

Ship's name

Thanks both. Another mystery solved.

I'm looking at the Army record of a great uncle who was posted to India in March 1892 as a drummer boy in the 2nd Yorkshire Regiment. This is the ship on which he travelled.

Cake-making looks a likely option.

I had a transcript. I've run out of credits so I can't get an image at the moment. I agree that transcription sometimes leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks for the responses.

One of my female ancestors is shown in the 1911 census as an 'Iceing coverer'. That's not in my comprehensive lists. Any ideas what it might be?
