For the handful of 1921 census records I have purchased if, in the FMP advanced search, I enter the Registration district number, Sub-district number, Enumeration district number and Schedule number it will correctly return a result list of all the members in the particular household referenced.

Look on the bright side - while you have been waiting for your email they have fixed a number of bugs in v4 and released an upgrade (v4.0.1).

They appear to have fixed the upgrade problem.

You should receive an e-mail from support with instructions which basically tell you to download the new upgrade executable.

I too had the same problem running under Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3, AVG 8.5 Anti Virus and Windows Firewall.

The version of FH I'm trying to upgrade is 3.1.2.

I've mailed FH support so will wait for their response.

I have just purchased and run the version 3 to 4 upgrade and it failed trying to setup a directory and rolled back.

Please be aware that when I re-run the v3 programme I had to re-enter the version 3 licence key.

I have e-mailed Family Historian support.
