Thanks for the info Mike. I think I've finally cracked it. Also managed to change the code to remove the leading "O", "Record ID", and "_". Thanks again for your help. John (Johnande)

I have downloaded the plugin that Jane sent. It appears to run but even after reading help info I cannot see how it works. I've tried various approaches but nothing keeps happening! I have seen the tutorial on adding info from birth certs & adding individuals at that time.
I have most of my people already on the data base but only now getting the various certificates. How does one create the sources without duplicating the the names already there?

Have had a similar problem myself. Tried to merge file X into my main file A. Went through the process of merging & selecting the fields and info.
