Thank you very much.
Mike for some reason I can't reorder them with the arrows on the facts page, however I can sort it via the All tab.

Undated fact
Apologies if this has been asked before. I have created a custom fact 'Extra Notes' which is undated and I have set the time frame as post death. I tend to work from the property box and this means I can see any extra info that I add but that it also appears at the end of narrative reports and in di...

Re: Record Id
Many thanks Mike I'll give that a go.
I use the ID's to store all records including census etc against each individual rather than family groups I need to look into the linking more carefully.

Record Id
Apologies if this has been asked before. Is it possible to tailor the automatically generated Individual Record Id's to each FH Project. Eg In my Steadman project change Ernest Steadman[1] to Ernest Steadman [STE 1] and in my Strongitharm project changeJohn Strongitharm [1] to John Strongitharm [STR...

Event Labels
I apologise if this is in the wrong place or has been addressed before. Is there any way to change an event label on specific records? When I started I entered all of my census data under the event 'census' and distinguished between the different census years through the date field, however I now wi...

Re: Witness reporting
Hi Mike,
That explains it. I was hoping to create a list of all name only witnesses. I can create queries for bmd events but my problem lies with trying to find a way of listing all 'extra' people in census households in one list.

Editing a witness sentence
I have just tried to create a new witness role to link people on the same census entry and I got the sentence wrong. I know I can edit individual sentences but I can't find how to go back and edit the default sentence as you can with fact sentences, or alternatively delete that role and start again....

Try using exclude unless birth date was less than 1915 rather than exclude if.

Record Flag
Apologies if this question has already been answered. I know how to manage record flags on diagrams but is there any way to set a flag on an individual fact or event to highlight that the information has been taken from a transcription or someone else's tree and that the original source needs to be ...

Paper Filing Systems

I have a ring binder for each Family History Project and then label a plastic wallet for each individual eg ...

Individual amp; family Queries
Hi Jane, Thanks for the advice, I know what you mean about family census records being vague and difficult to relate to individuals, however I only use them for the parents and the children are entered as individuals with a note to say they are with their parents (if they are). I find it is a quick ...

Individual amp; family Queries
I am using V4 and I am very happy with it. I have one question. Is it possible to create queries which combine both individual & family data. I have created a custom query to check if I have found census details for people in my file (individuals alive at x and linked to source) but I have entered s...
