I shall carry on. I got my version 3 yesterday (it took a bit of time to get out to New Zealand) and am on another burst of activity.

I have been wondering what the correct use of the place hierarchy field is.  I have used it to record a nice compact place description using Chapman codes... eg a census event may be at Tain, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland, and I will add a place hierachy of SCT, ROC, Tain, which I find easy to use in ch...

I couldn't see any sign of this on the forums... I frequently use Alt-Tab to switch between FH & other programs when entering information, and find that the cursor (nearly always) jumps to the beginning of the field.
