Thank you as always Mike. You correctly identified the mistake I made. I carefully made a second full backup and the file name and date/time matched this time.

Thanks Mike - Yes it will remain a mystery. The hurredly arranged first civil marriage was a case of shutting the door after the proverbial horse had bolted!

I too have Gt x2 Grandparents who have two marriage certificates two years apart 1858 and 1860 one a civil and a 2nd a Roman Catholic ceremony. How did they manage to do that? Their two eldest children were born 1854 and 1857.
Any comments would be welcome. What do you think the 'back story' is?

When I went into it just now to take a screenshot the' current project' showed. Last time I looked it was blank or said 'no project'.

I inadvertently moved some folders on my hard drive. In the FH digest Mike suggested posting images of the file structure to see where the problem is.
