v5 Download cost

Sorry I meant free postage at TWR not S&N, which is £2.95.

v5 Download cost

I went on the website to download the full version 5 (not upgrade) rather than buying a boxed copy. I was amazed to find that the cost of the download is actually more than boxed copies from S&N (free postage) and My History! With most software I've ever bought, downloads are much cheaper than boxed...

Version 5

This happened last time there was a new version. Announced just before Christmas for February release and then kept being put back. No idea why they can't just work on the product until ready and then announce it, but probably a marketing process to increase sales before Christmas with an upgrade of...

Research Log

I can't find any research log in Family Historian. Does anyone know if there is one or may there be one in the new version 5? I am generating a lot of data that I need to check or add to for some missing information, e.g knowing there is a gravestone, inputting this into FH but then needing to remin...

Copying Sources

Thanks for that information.

I wanted to actually duplicate the entire source which would include everything within it. I use templates in my sources and this would need much less typing of duplicate data. It's a shame this facility isn't included in the software.

Copying Sources

Does anyone know if it is possible to duplicate a source automatically? Some of my sources are quite lengthy but are a standard format and it will be less time consuming if I could duplicate a source and then edit it slightly, rather than type all the information again, a lot of which is the same. T...

Moving Source Citations

Thanks Peter It will definitely be the 'Text from source' for the citation as they would not be applicable to the master source. I could copy and paste but with over a thousand source citations it wouldn't be practical. When I first started using Family Historian I made some choices that now clearly...

Moving Source Citations

Hi Does anyone know if it is possible to globally move all text entered in the field 'Where within source' to the field 'Text from Source'. I need to do this as it appears that I have entered all my source information in the wrong location! If not then I'll leave them, as I have so many that re-typi...
