Individual Military History
I have downloaded the suggested fact sheet but don't seem to be able to open it. It shows in the 'Custom' section but doesn't open with a window to allow entries.
Any thoughts please? It is likely that I am doing summat wrong but what I do not know.

Individuals Count
I have noticed that the number of individuals shown in the bottom right of my screen does not tally with the number of records I have. It has not counted several recently inserted although they appear in the listings. This is not vital but a bit of an annoyance. Is there any way this can be reset to...

Individual Military History
I have the full military papers for a relative who gained the MM in 1918.
I am trying to decide the best way to record his military records (including postings, wounds, hospitalisation etc etc).
I wonder how others of you might have done this?

Bath War Hospital (WW1)
There were many private houses and other establishments turned over to medical use for WW1 work. I would suggest you do not accept just the one place as being 'Bath War Hospital' unless it is a well established usage for the one place. Look a little deeper. You might find a call to Bath Local Studie...

Late husband/wife
'Late' would general mean 'deceased'.
I quote the Oxford English Dictionary: '(the/one's late) (of a person) no longer alive: his late wife.
[The last three words should be italicised].
This is standard usage of the phrase and should always refer to deceased.

The Medal Cards are now all held by The Western Front Association who took them on to ensure that they would be preserved.
As far as I am aware Ancestry is digitising them all which process ought to be completed quite soon.

Jan, Many thanks for taking the time to reply in such detail. I shall carefully work through your comments to fully understand them. FH seems such a complicated programme with a massive learning curve and, to be honest, I don't find the manual or help files written with a first time user in mind. Th...

Problem
I have just tried to use GedCom Census for the first time. I followed the instructions (printed off) very carefully.
After doing the Save how does the information get to FH? I assumed it was automatic but there are no census details in my FH files.
Would appreciate comment and help.

I am new to FH and am having great trouble in creating new sources. How do I do it? I have printed off the manual and looked at the 'How to get Started' items but just cannot find anything that seems to be the same as appears on my screen. The fly-out source is yellowed out for all but new birth and...
